If he was alive, they found him already...

Hello Lotters, there's no doubt the Rescue for the DILG secretary is dead, i just didn't speculate first. because the length isn't really that far, and no doubt he died there. I wonder why the aide was able to get out first? they should have allowed the Secretary Robredo to JUMP first before those who left first. not a referral link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY1lNVMCcrg though it's a sad day for the country to loose such an active government official. he shouldn't have rush in and should have use the commercial plane. .

Based on the reports, the survivor didn't "jump" he was "forced-out" when the wing was cut off. Perhaps a portion of the plane split because of the velocity and then the survivor was nearer that "split". It's sad for the victims, but I pray that they were unconscious when things happened so that they didn't feel the "drowning" feeling. May their souls rest in peace. Indeed it's always sad to hear these types of stories. Just this long weekend alone, I've heard or 2 others (friends' families) who have passed on. May the families find comfort in God's love.

Hello laydee, i think based on experts you really can't jump when the plane is one the fast crashing course to the sea because it's like hitting a brick in water. but it's possible that the current kept them from going outside the plane until the current took them moving until it went right down a hundred feet more

Were there reports saying they were alive and struggling to get out? That would have been really a torture to die like that!

No, it was just an opinion of an expert that you simply can't Jump when the plane crashes down, only when it hits water that you can get out.

I think Letran, it's his destiny already to die . My husband told me that his boss who attended the said seminar which Sec. Robredo attended, asked his boss after the seminar, if he would like to go with him in going home to Naga in the said plane. But his boss fortunately said, he already has a ticket at Cebu Pacific. Had he agreed, he would have been in that fatal flight too. It's so sad indeed for us Filipinos specially for us Bicolanos, to lose a good public servant.

Yes, that was what we were talking about when we were in bed watching the late night news about Robredo. His boss is lucky indeed!

I saw the news and his body is already found, he didn't survive. I don't know what went wrong why he never had a chance to sky dive with a parachute before the plane crush, maybe the plane don't have a parachute or the airplane crushed so fast they didnt have a chance to prepare. Based on what people say, he is a good public servant, so he is big lost to our country.

Well like what i have said to my husband last night, if it is his day to day..and that was the day God called him, maybe it is really his time. thats why i believe. Plus it was just an accident i think and maybe there were all in panic that time thats why they were not able to jump or do whatever its needed to do at times like that.

Hello Jazel_juan, Some experts said you can't jump on a crashing plane, can only get out when you crashed. the plane still floated, they should have thought about just getting out instead of probably thinking of their baggages. it is a sad day for the family but eventually, we all have to move on. am sure he wanted us doing our part. Have a Nice day

Hi, Sad news, to all Filipinos. I wonder what is going on in the mind of the one who swam out of it alive. If I were in his place I would feel guilty to leave that which I am supposed to serve and protect, being his aide. There is a small margin of rescue window when the plane crashed into the sea, unlike when it would have crashed on land. It is actually a miracle that someone survived in that crash. When thirty to one hour has passed without any sign of life for a radius of one kilometer, I think the probability of finding a survivor becomes smaller.

I think we better wait until the aide can finally give his statement. We have barely known anything that happened except for the crash itself. I also think that we cut some slack, we cannot eb sure what happened until a formal investigation is held. At least a air crash on land is not as dangerous as in the water.

HelloRog0322, This is a sad thing mostly for the Family and the government people who worked under him. It would have been a bit better if the plane simply just slam it into the ground and could have save their lives. I am not sure about the local who found the aide, maybe he should have swam to rescue the others by swimming to them.have ance day.

hi, ah they already found all three of them while I'm typing, guess to be fair to the aide, we have to wait for the investigation, in my opinion perhaps the aide was nearer to the exit, but like what he said, the late good sec was already unbuckled from he's seat belt when they found him, perhaps they were just unable to get out cause it happened so fast , R.I.P. to all the 3 victims.

Hello Louievill, I just found out around ten in the morning when I woke up. they should have just kick him out of there instead of allowing the aide to go first. not that i didn't care about the aide, the DILG secretary has a bigger function to the government and now it's considered a huge loss because he was a very active government official
