I am mourning...

Sad flower - I took this photo and it's in black and white. It symbolizes my mourning for the passing of Secretary Jess Robredo.

I'm mourning for two people today, and I don't know them both personally. One is a friend's dad whom I've never even met, but I have sympathy for my friend. She's in Thailand when she got the news yesterday and she will be coming home in Wednesday or Thursday. I could feel her pain. The other person is the Secretary of the Interior and Local Government, Jess Robredo. He was a good man, one who serves his country with all honesty. He was found yesterday inside a private plane that he chartered to get to his family in time for a victory celebration. It crashed in the sea and he was not able to survive along with the the pilot and co-pilot. I can't help but be judgemental of his aide who was able to survive. As his aide, he should have put his boss' life first before his own. This is a very sad news for our country. I'm just sad and i'm attaching a photo of a flower for the people who passed away.

It was indeed sad news about what happened to Secretary Robredo The fact that a lot of people are sad too is proof that he must have been a good person. I do not know him personally but it seems that he is loved in his hometown and that, I think, is way to tell a person's character.

I've known him from the time he was appointed by the President in his position. I was a fan and I knew how good a person he is. That's why i was one of those people praying and hoping he was saved from the crash. But God has better plans.

We, Bicolanos Toni, much more mourn for DILG Sec. Jess Robredo. He is well loved by Bicolanos specially Nagaueños because he was their very good mayor for many years. And he is a humble man, just like her family. I keep waiting for the news about him, so when the news about how he was already found over DZMM TV radio was announced by Sen. Mar Roxas, i had goosebumps. We all saddened at home. Goodbye to a very good and humble public servant.

It's really sad D. We lost another good man who could really do good for our country. Does God really need him more than we do?

I was thinking the other day Toni, that perhaps God took him away this early, so he can't be corrupted if he stays long in upper politics. But then, he could have contributed well in helping solve corruption in the government in his own way.

Thank you Hatley. I am wondering about that too. He won't be living in peach because i'm pretty sure his conscience will eat him up.

I mourn. I often think, why do good people, quick to heaven?

Maybe because heaven is near their heart so it's easier and faster for them to get there.

Oh hun.. I try not to think of the passing of loved ones or people who were somewhat close, i try to think of who they maybe reunited with now and their lives with family and friends before their passing.. Happy thoughts and happy hearts filled with such joy and love for the family.

Can't help it. Every time i watch the news they flash Sec. Robredo's face and each time i am deeply affected. I don't even know the person personally. His face and personality just remind me of my dad.

i am sorry for this news, take care of yourself. but i think the secretary's aide have no responsibility for the secretary's life, he should do good for the job which secretary give him, and when the crash come, they are both equal to survive.

As a personal aide, you have an oath to put your boss' life first before yours. You may call me selfish but I believe he was lying and at the same time broke his oath. He doesn't deserve that job if he put his life first.

Really? i don't know a personal aide is boss's bodyguard in some level but just his work partner.

If they remind you of your dad, you should have a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. I dunno if you ever watch Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, but the uncle in that is spit of my mum, personality wise and certain faces he used ro pull. Every time it comes on i would let my nephews know that he acts just like their Grandmother used to before she left us. They would laugh and smile as they watch. Being as it is a comedy, it always makes them smile. But my mum was just like that!! So to know someone is very similar to her and is imprinted for life onto television, is the greatest comfort for me and my sisters. So our kids can always watch the programmes and know that they can sort of get to know Grandmother....

The way of mourning is normal within 3 months. If more than that period, it could lead to pathological in their mind. But then, we need to support them all-through out.

Natutwa akong makausap ka. If you are mourning, follow this link for some comforting words. You can read the article in the language of your choice.
Is God accessible to the depressed? How can the depressed get comfort from God? What if feelings of unworthiness make us think that our prayers are not being heard?

Hello Alice. Thanks for the concern. This discussion was in 2012 and I'm way passed it now. I have nothing but happiness in my heart nowadays .
