I just read an exercise where you write down the things that you like to do with a group of people and you like to do alone. So I wrote my lists: Group: storytelling, pot lucks, alternative healing circles, alternative healing classes, dancing Alone: reading, weaving, crocheting, singing, dancing, listening to music, walks, sit in the woods silently watching and listening, gardening, foraging So I guess I like being alone better than being in a group. Not sure where mylot and talking on the phone are. You're not alone, but you're not in a group. So that must bhe pairing like I like doing some things with my husband such as going out to eat or staying home and snuggling. So what things do you like to do in a group, alone, or in a pairing?

There many things that I do when I am alone, like sleep, listen to music, play online or off line games, surf internet, walk etc. When I am with friends, I like playing cricket, cards or volleyball; going to cinema hall for watching movie, dinning out, going on a long drive etc.

I'm not a sports person. No eye to hand coordination. Although I admire people who are sportive.

I feel going out alone watch a movie in a to cinema hall is too boring, hence like to go out with friends or family members. Whereas when I am alone at home I would love to watch movies on my Laptop or PC.

I actually cannot think of any group activities that I like, now I'm thinking about it, it seems like I only like to do a lot of things with my sister or with my husband only. I think it is because I don't have a lot of friends so I don't get to have group activities very much, maybe the last time I had group activities was having barbeque with my families and I think it is one of my favourite group activities.

Barbecues can be wonderful. Some of us are more into lone activities. Love your Mylot name. Did you see the Discovery channel special show that had about mermaids or merperople actually?

hi wwritersedge yes in a group it would be fun to tell a gossip story with each person adding on a line or two. but I am not much into groups only to play bingo. alone I mylot and read and sometimes I write like journaling or poetry or a short story.I write fiction not articles but could I guess if I really tried.my hubby and I long time back when gas was not expensive used to get in our pickup and go for drives to find something unique once a flower farm, a koi fish farm and once we ended up on a Sunday in a small Negro church participating in the hymns and everyone was so welcoming to us. we had fun on those drives but that was before two babies in 11 months.

I like lots of those alone and with hubbie activities. I'm not into bingo much because the only time I ever won was when I was working for someone else and I'm not working for them any more. I gave the winnings to the developmentally disabled petty cash fund (they paid for my entrance cards while watching the clients). The Developmentally Disabled adults who were poor, had no money and no relatives, they used the winnings to buy Christmas and Birthday presents for them. Then I liked bingo because it was wonderful to win and know that the money went for something great. Two babies in 11 months, wow!

I'm working in a huge company where teamwork is fostered and religiously implemented and followed. I think no one in our company works alone. And if there are employee who does that, he/she would already gone by now looking for other company who does not foster teamwork. Teamwork is one of the basic culture a company must have in order to be succeeded.

That's nice. But is work all you do? I'm retiring in 6 months. I hope you have family and friends, too.

Dear writers When I was healthy, the group activities were - movies at theaters, workshops on community services (even at college I was more inclined into these rather than the study or classes), organizing blood donation camps (though I only donated twice owing to infections in my blood which doctors could never get rid of), playing outdoor games - cricket, badminton and even the indoor ones like chess or carrom. Today, the group activities are mostly when I am with family and mostly include playing with my nephew - we still fight on who uses his play station, cooking and doing some house works for my love of life(my wife). Most of the days I am alone and so the activities are computers - be it mylot, or assignments from my clients or even games, reading, and of course, sleeping (medicines induce sleep and I do sleep for more hours than I really want to). Personally if I could get rid of my ailments - I would definitely want to get back to the outside life for a while maybe at least for a few hours a week if not more.

I understand. There are some things that I was doing that I've had to drop with groups and alone or change the way I do them since 14 months ago when all this craziness started.

For group, I'd like to play games especially with my friends, eating, going to malls or any other enjoyable place, and sometimes studying in group. Activities that I do alone are, listening to music, walking, watching some anime shows, reading or learning new things, and earning online.
