One o the reasons I don't enjoy Summer that much is that I can't fall asleep as fast as in Autumn,Winter etc.I try to relax myself, not to think about it,but I spend HOURS trying to sleep.I am tired, but my mind just keeps going on and on.
Now,I had tried a lot of things:ate high-containing Tryptophan, had a warm bath before sleep, drank a full glass of warm milk, sometimes those three in one night.
I had some results when I took melatonin. It is used to treat jet lag.I though "If I fall asleep around 2-3,maybe I could reset my internal clock".Worked good, found myself falling asleep around 10-11.But I stopped treatment, because I didn't want to take it for ever.
Another thing I tried was GABA.It's a neural inhibitor.Practically turns the volume down on the brain. This process occurs naturally in the brain, and a supplement form would help inhibit more synapses. It worked pretty good, but again,I didn't want to have any supplement stuck with me for the rest of my life.
So,has anyone got a tip or trick to fall asleep faster?

I start reading books. Books that are of higher interest to me but at the same time which have some teachings, I will feel myself as I am learning something in school, and as in those days we used to fall asleep while listening to teachers, that feeling will start inducing sleepiness. I have tried it works. And then keep on repeating in your mind - "I will have a deep and sound sleep now, and will use all my energy tomorrow morning."

Do not become addicted to this sleeping pills. You can have a good night sleep when you just play calm and take a deep breath. You can inhale and exhale for 5 minutes, then be calm. After doing it,think of nothing but emptiness and hold your hands with the fingers outside and make a grip for 5 minutes. Then, massage your finger tips and inhale exhale again and think very calm and stop the massaging and you would know that you are already fallen asleep.

In our place If anyone could not sleep cause someone thinking of Him and to sleep the pillow should be turn to other side. that would be superstitious belief. ahehehe.. but rather I would do nothing if i have insomnia just make time of my computer and listen to music etc.

I always have an insomnia and yeah, it really sucks when you can't do anything just for you to sleep. Before, I just have to lay down in my bed and stare at the ceiling for long hours, sometimes I really wanted to sleep that makes me cry. I do not take any sleeping pills because I might get addicted to that. What I did is that everyday I drink one glass of Malunggay juice. I still have the insomnia but I can sleep whenever I want to. I usually think of things that I really want to happen, sort of daydreaming then I will not notice that I already fallen asleep.
