had you ever visited West Sumatera??
what about Bukit tinggi? one of the city in west sumatera??
do you know about Bukit Tinggi??
what is appears in your mind when somebody tell you about Bukit Tinggi??Rendang??
only rendang??
what about Fort De Kock?
Fort De Kock is one of the Dutch heritage in Bukit Tinggi..
It is not complete you visit and walk around bukit tinggi, but you did not visit Fort De Kock...
The fort was built by Captain Bouer in 1825 during Merkus Baron Hendrik de Kock as a commander of Der Troepen and Deputy Governor General of the Dutch East Indies, which is why the fort was known as Fort Fort De Kock. The fortress is situated on the Mount Jirek was used by the Dutch Army as a stronghold of the onslaught of Minangkabau people, especially since the outbreak of Padri War in 1821-1837. Around the fort there are cannons ancient period to the 19th century. In later years, it grew around the fort is also a town called Fort de Kock, now Bukittinggi.
the next vacation place in Bukit tinggi is Canyon of Sianok..
Sianok canyon is a steep valley that divides the two areas in West Sumatra. This valley stretches from the south canyon to canyon Koto Gadang Sianok Six Tribes and ended up in Palupuh with a length of about 15 km. This valley has a depth of approximately 100 meters and a width of about 200 meters.
So? if you have much money and want to travel, why you don`t use Bukit tinggi as one of your target in the vacation this year..

Yes, of course I never heard of Bukit Tinggi. I've never been there but someday I'd love to go there to enjoy the outdoors and of course enjoy the culinary specialties of West Sumater directly in his hometown. Thank you for the information you provided.
