For me till now it had been a blessing it had helped me in many ways for example-if some time i doesn't go to school it helps me in knowing what happened in the school, it keeps me up to date as many pages are present which gives good knowledge to us i.e what is going around the world. So, at-last i would say that it helps me very much. And what about you people hope it must not be a curse for you. Please respond to it and share what you think about this topic.

Well, for students.. It greatly depends upon their type of use. Some student use it for only sharing stupid jokes, and playing stupid games and using stupid apps. In this case, facebook proves to be a great curse. But if you use facebook rightly and for limited duration per day, then it can be a great boon for students. It can be used rightly by sharing the good thoughts and knowledge, liking the appropriate pages and playing games that may increase your typing skills and general knowledge skills. Facebook is such a vast that we can make it the worst curse and even make it a best boon.

There is only one friend that I like how she is doing on Facebook because she doesn't have a phone her only contact is Facebook. So beside that Facebook sure doesn't help me to go forward in life, for as for info there is not much to it. Not impress how Facebook became.

Hi friend, welcome to mylot, good to know fb is a blessing to you. Different kind of people is having different attitudes and fb is a blessing for some persons and curse for some ones based on their activities, if a person use fb in a good way, surely he will get benefits from it and fb is a blessing to him and vice versa. Fb is just a social site and our usage method will give good or bad to us

I think it depends on the individual student. I think younger students have a harder time with it as it can be so mean spirited. For those students, who handle it responsibility it can be a good tool. For me, I don't like it at all, think it is a waste of time. I much prefer twitter, but I use twitter differently than I did facebook.

It would depends on every situation or the user. In this new era of so called social media or internet etc. we could access easily our important rather love ones and needs of emergency for them and communicate, together we could share our happy moments picture this could cherish every single moment we were far from them. as Students also contact their friends or latest news in according to school activity or project any activities in school.

For me it's a blessing. It's not a curse. I can communicate with my relatives and friends. I get updated with information, etc. I can see their latest pictures, achievements, etc. Happy mylotting.

It's hard for me to imagine having Facebook back when I was in high school. It has only been 10 years since I graduated High School but so much has changed, especially with technology! I can see how Facebook has really changed our youth. HS can be a tough time for many as it is, I'm not so sure Facebook is a blessing for students. It's really hard for me to make the judgement though not having "been there, done that". I'm not so sure I would want to have had this social network drama as a teenager though. Right now in my life I'm thankful for what Facebook offers me though. It allows me to stay in touch with a lot of people I wouldn't otherwise be able to.

Its all depend on the users itself, most thing was created for a good purpose. Only those who use it who actually make it good or bad.

Facebook helps a lot to students to share information they might need for their exams, so it saves energy and time, as they don't need to go the library so often for their studies. Groups help them to ask questions too and if they use tags before their posts, it will be able to search them. On the other side, if they can't control themselves and spends their time chatting with friends instead of learning it can be a "curse". It mostly effects primary and secondary school students, as it's harder from them to control themselves. They have nice studentbooks for their studies, so they should not need facebook, but for high school/university studies, it might help a lot.
