...let him have his rest but don’t let his legacy die

I guess you pretty much surmised that I am talking about Sec. Jesse Robredo who died in a watery grave and in a fateful air crash.. Since his death, his action and character were revealed to the public. Of course, his former (and still) constituents of Naga City really loved him to bits. The whole Filipino nation appreciated this silent, simple but good man even though he was basically a nobody (at first). We cannot do everything now for Sec Jesse but to let his legacy and his good works continue. I guess this will be a more paramount message for public officials but I think the message for us, the citizenry, is to demand better se3rvice from the people we elected. After some the time and the funeral, I wish Sec Jesse would not just be a name that will be forever be a name. It’ll be a shame if that happened.

Sec. Robredo lived a simple and fulfilling life. He was a good man. He has been a good example to all those in the government. He had inspired and helped so many people. May Sec.Robredo's soul rest in peace.

The Aquino admin has lost one of its vital structures. Jesse is a definitely a big loss in the government.

Many people are pointing that the administration is somewhat crippled without Robredo. I just hope that some nasty rumors are really rumors and are not really truths.

I agree he is being laid to rest today. And I guess everybody should move on and just continue the legacy he has left. I think it is a big challenge for the next DILG secretary to hold and do same feat this man did on this department. This goes the same the current and next Mayor of Naga City to hold and remain steadfast on what he has instilled in the City. It is a challenge to everyone to follow his footsteps but I guess there is no harm in trying to emulate some if not all of his qualities he shared with us for the last 8 days.

I really hope and pray that with the revelation about his good and simple ways of governance, all the public servants will follow. Though, they don't have to copy his going around in slippers this coming election, lest it will be tagged as "no Originality". Sce. Robredo will forever live in the hearts and mind of us Bicolanos.
