That is good news to our basketball crazed fellowmen. I know there would still be some fellow Filipinos who will talk trash about the team despite winning it all but hey its a great moment for us all and for the whole nation. Critics again would say, some of the team members are not true Filipino blood and the like, but I couldn't imagine what kind of thinking these so called critics have. Anyway, I hope the Smart Gilas II team will continue their winning ways and on to the Olympics. Congrats to all of them and to their coach Chot Reyes for steering the whole team to victory. It was not an easy feat for our team because they faced powerhouse Iran, Japan and Korea. They also conquered Team USA for that matter and they showed good basketball all in all. I hope the management will retain most of the members to ensure better chemistry and team member involvement. Go Smart Gilas II, Go Team Philippines, Onwards to the Olympics.

Hi there, Well there are always critics and yes and some of the guys are not pure Filipinos but the guy who won the guy for us was LA Tenorio which was full blooded so i think that they should not square the fil-ams that made us win because without our pure locals i think this will not really be that possible and hey as long as there is Filipino blood i think that there should be no problems and for our naturalized import well lets admit it we need a decent big man and most of the other country's do play with imports so i think it is just fair play.
