balut eating contest in new york

i am very proud and amazed on what i saw in the local program: balut(duck egg) eating contest in new york? wow!....what a surprised i know balut is not common in new york because it can only be found here in the philippines. no wander why these people eat balut so much because they considered it as an exotic dish. i am proud of being a filipino because the foreigner love our own balut. imagined the winner in this contest eats 18 balut in one sitting....gosh! our feather in our cap!

I have never tasted or even seen what's inside a balut. Sorry, to say that, even if Im a Filipino, I don't find this type of food exciting to eat.
But, Im also surprised to hear about that going on in NY. But, there are many Filipinos in that state, so perhaps, there were Filipino members of the staff who introduced the idea.
