Words of Wisdom From Jim Carrey

I stumbled upon this picture from Jim Carrey today. It said something about a meaningful quote from him:
I hope everybody could get rich and famous and will have everything they ever dreamed of, so they will know it's not the answer.
That sure is a speech from the heart. I have heard that it was his choice to appear less in movies lately because he has been involved in more seminars about inspirational talks. That is good to hear.
I agree with him that we won't know what we are missing until we have experienced or accomplished what we have been searching of. Then we come to the point when we can say to our selves, "If I got this, then what?"
Still I believe just because something won't completely fulfill you anyway doesn't mean that you have to sulk and stop achieving your goals. I hear of some people who try to give up their own dreams and go an*l about it, they eventually send out the impression to everyone that they are so happy with delaying self-gratification.
It may not be the "answer", but we will never get to that "answer" unless we've enjoyed some things that life has to offer.

You know, I really don't think that he could have made a quote that was any more true than the quote that you have shared here. You see, I have never had the opportunity to be rich in my life and I believe that I will never have the opportunity to have that in my life. However, I do have many friends that have been at the top of the world and also at the bottom of the heap at some point during their lives and they will tell you that they would rather be poor and know that they have love in their lives than to have more money than they know what to do with it.

I guess like all things in life we need to learn to strike a balance. If we are too focused on our work and acquiring money, our dealings with our social and family life may get imbalanced. Technology may have brought with it convenience but it has also led us to do more than we ought to, sacrificing quality for quantity.

the goal for a lot of people today is not to become rich and famous
but to have a livable income so they can have a family
and a home with some money left over to enjoy life
which is getting very hard to do in the Usa
today it a good saying of what Jim Carrey say
ok have a good day

With the difficult economic situation in the US and anywhere in the world, it is often easy for us to be focusing our attention on getting family needs taken care of, more so with the breadwinners in the family.

I quite agree with him, I mean the fact that being rich and famous is not the lifelong answer to completely satisfy what we really want in life, although I would admit that having an ambition to do reach or have something would really give us a drive to a definite path in life. But really intriguing to know that once we get it, we tend to look for more, and hopefully more than what we expect.

It's our human nature, isn't it? It seems that we never get contented. For those who haven't experienced the fame and fortune that he or other celebrities have had, we may think we want something like it too. In between, we also don't realize the disadvantages of the kind of life they live.

I truly agree with the words of Jim Carrey.I may not have much earned money and being rich and all like him,but this is what I experienced in my life.I had been saving little by little without going out shopping and having fun with my friends. Also,I had been online trying to earn money and spending loads of time here instead of spending time with my parents nor coping with my studies. All these I did because I wanted to buy an electric guitar. When I finally bought one,I realized I had missed all the moments of spending time with my friends, parents and not able to do the exams well.I realize,I should have compensated both activities in my daily schedule.

It's kinda hard to balance sometimes, isn't it? I can relate to what you said. But as usual in the end we cannot take back what was lost, but we have another chance to make the choice of spending more quality time with people that matter.
