my grandmother's beef stew

every saturday, we go to our grandma's house. every time we were there she always cook us good food and homey dishes. especially her beef stew cook in a traditional manner and in traditional recipe,this is really superb! the beef is very tender and juicy because she know what part of the beef has the tender and juicier part. she choose the best ingredients and the fresh one in the market not in the grocery or mart. her beef stew can be compared to foods that are served in a fine dining restaurant. truly grandma's cooking is the best!

Yummy! I love beef stew, especially on a cold or rainy day. My mom actually made beef stew yesterday because we were going through a tropical storm. She put it in the crock pot and let it cook all day. When it was ready we had the beef stew over egg noodles. It was so delicious and perfect on a rainy, yucky day.

I wish you could share with us what ingredients your grand mother puts on her stew cause there are many versions in Philippine cooking, with potatoes? String beans, bananas? Is it "bulalo" ( bone marrow soap)? Yes fresh beef really tastes good, no need to put beef cubes

I suddenly remembered my grandma. She used to cook us her special kare-kare everytime we visited her. And for desserts, her leche flan is to die for.
