During my elementary days, my teacher let us memorize the multiplication table. And I am very thankful to my teacher for letting us do that for it really helps us up to this time. Now is my daughter's time to memorize it. I told her that we also memorize it when we are at her age. I hope she could also memorize it and appreciate it us she goes on in her multiplication table. Did you memorize the multiplication table. Good day.

during that elementary years, i always got low grades on exams and quizzes, the first two i first memorized is 6x6=36 and 5x5=25; the rest is i solve it using the help of my finger counting...

I had to memorize the multiplication tables. It may seem like a daunting task to your daughter. Some are easy to remember. Others are not so easy. But perhaps you can point out the pattern to her. For example, multiplying by 9 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90 Notice the pattern by looking at the least significant digit. It decreases by one each time. In the number 18, the least significant digit is 8. In the number 27, the least significan digit is 7 and so on.

Hi, In my childhood everyday we have to memorize the multiplication tables. They are very useful in solving maths problems and I also told my son to memorize tables. now he is doing a job. But when he was in school he was very good in maths.

Yes, we had to memorize the multiplication tables and we had to recite them out loud and were graded on it. We were not supposed to ever count on our fingers either. That was hard for me. Now even with my college degrees, I still count of my fingers- it just seems so natural.

when i was on my elementary days, my teacher also told us to memorize the multiplication table..but what i liked the most is he didn't just let us memorize it, but also enhanced our mind in calculating multiple numbers with multiple operators mentally by conducting everyday a game where everyone must solve the some given problems mentally..and the last man standing gets the highest points..

I did not really memorized the multiplication table on purpose. As a math quizzer way back in elementary, I just got used to it and it became part of my system already that cannot be removed. haha

For me,there was no need to actually "memorize" it.I just had to know that I had to multiply numbers until I got to 10.I knew what multiplications were, and I was doing it in my first grade.I regarded it as fun.I was very entertained by that, and(don't jump at me!) laughed a lot when others would make mistakes.

Hello friends,Yes during my early school days,we had to memorize Multiplication Tables,it was a kind of forced upon us to memorize by our math teacher and out of fear(punishment),we were able to feed it into our memory lol.We had given homework about tables to write a particular table a fixed number of times and we had to read it out a particular table as and when asked by our teacher.I had memorized multiplication table upto 25.However,i was finding it difficult to memorize some tables like 13,17,19 etc. lol.It was a nightmare for me then. But memorizing multiplication table certainly helped me to do calculations much faster. Its really helpful. Thanks & regards......
