Who's Your Celebrity Role Model & Who's Your Family/Friend Role Model? Why?

While watching the Jets/Panthers game (American Football) I heard the interview with their two quarterbacks, Sanchez and Tim Tebow. Tebow has been a fantastic role model through his college career and into his professional life. This interview reminded me why I think he's a great role model. When he was told that his fame shouldn't be a burden (like the media makes it's so), he simply said: It is a burden, and it should be. I should leave a legacy, not only on the field but off. Very cool. He said more of course, but that's the gist of it. But amongst my family and friends my role model is none other than my young son. He's 19 now, but when his Daddy left us he was 12. We were homeless for about three months before my parents could step in and help (they built a house for us). It was my son who used to just tell me "we'll be okay." He also went to his school psychologist who helped him get us financial aid, Thanksgiving dinner and a Christmas meal. Then he told his sister (16 at the time), "just love Dad, it'll be better that way." And it was. Though their Dad never deserved it. Now he's 19, off to college and I've noticed that he seems to be the leader wherever he goes. Hope he's a good one. Who's your celebrity role model and more important (I think) who amongst your family and friends has become a role model for you or your kids?

I don't have a celebrity role model as fame is a fleeting thing; besides most athletes are treated like commodities that are free to exchange for money or a better athlete. Tim Tebow for example, is a great person, but the Broncos used him as collateral when they traded him to the Jets so they could acquire Manning. I really wouldn't want someone to think that the worth of a human being can be measured in dollars. I chose Jesus as my "larger than life" role model. As far as family, that would be my parents.

Well, the Broncos organization then is no role model but Tim still remains one. As he never got mad, is not looking for revenge, never hung his head low and he's still the same humble guy. Jesus being a role model goes without saying.

To be frank, I never found any celebrity to be inspiring. i am a big fan of Will Smith and found his character to be good, but not precisely a role model. In my family, I consider my dad as my role model.

I suppose my dad was as we did alot of things together when I was young but then I really never put in in a role model role. I had my own role to play in life and we plunging in and still doing what I like SO can I say mme as I have held up to sets of family mine and my sister in laws WHere she didnt handle her kids but I had too. I know every time we went in no matter what time day or night that we got there the kids would set on lap arm of chair anywhere close that the could get and all talk at once and would go on for hours
