On Sunday morning 8/26/2012 I went into labor at 8am and had my little baby boy at 2:22pm. 6 hours of labor I delivered my second child naturally with no pain medication at all. I know to some 6 hours wouldn't seem that quick but that was a lot faster then my first child which she took about 16 hours of labor and about 15 minutes of pushing but she was and induction baby so that is why it took so long plus was a lot smaller then this one. The little guy weighed in at 6lbs 5oz which is big for me my doctor told me last time I couldn't have anything over 4lbs naturally but I did it. I came into the birthing center at about 9:30am they check me out I was about 4cms they let me walk around for bit listened to the baby every 30 minutes and before I know it I was 6 to 7cm my doctor asked me if I was okay with my water being broken or if I wanted to wait a bit longer to see if it would go on it's own. I told her go a head and break it so I could get into transition and get to pushing. I they did that at 1pm and with in about and hour started having those feeling of pushing. The nurse was in the room and just stood there with me and my husband talking to me. She was surprised I was handing the pain so well unlike so women and finally after two more checks with in 30 minutes of each other I was ready to go for pushing. I wasn't yet 10cm but I was about 9.5cm so my doctor felt I was far enough to go a head and just start pushing with in about 30 minutes of that and having my doctor cut me a little bit to get the head out I had a little boy. Tomorrow we are going home and on Saturday our oldest child will be coming home from visiting our family since I was put on bed rest and stuff for the last couple of weeks. The only problem we might have is our son's little feet but not sure how bad it is yet but the doctor here feels he'll grow out of it but they will let my child's doctor look at it further but in there thought that anything like boots might be a possibility but other wise then that nothing more but only a specialist that works with children and feet can determine if if boots or surgery is more needed outside of just plan physical work out which we can do at home. Here is a picture of my little guy. I know certain Mylot friends of mine wanted to see him. I will say he looks lot like his big sister.

He has your nose. I'm putting in my request now. Please send me a picture of Sugar with JD. I'm so happy you had JD naturally! What a journey. From thinking you lost him to only find he was hiding from the scans to having him tease you by all the contraction business til now! I can't tell you how happy I am!

I know how much you wanted him. And I'm so glad you delivered him naturally! With the bed rest and the off again on again pre labor pains I totally forgot about his feet. I'm so glad that is over and his feet are ok.

Yeah was in early labor for like 3 weeks before going into active labor where they could keep me. That morning I was like this better be the real thing because I'm not leaving that hospital with out a baby this time. I told hubby at 8am and I told him not to call anyone till I was check out and what do you know I was far enough long for them to keep me and having really good contractions where they kind of had to keep me since they where every regular but not to strong yet but they where there. I was told I was the best women in labor so freaking clam even when in clearly pain. I am one tough cookie.

I'll get some pictures of the two of them as soon as I can. Your problem as happy as I am. I know hubby is really happy that the pregnancy is over that he is finally here and that isn't any real big issues with his little feet like they thought there was going to be. He's a prefect little baby.

So finally, the long wait was over. Now, you have your daughter and the new baby around. I bet you're the happiest mother at that time. So, the baby boy didn't end up to be a small baby like the first. 6lbs is very normal and a good birth weight. I hope the feet thing won't be a problem at all. Enjoy the baby!

He was 1lb heavier then we thought he was going to be. Yes that is very normal size not so normal for 36 weeks but it was a nice healthy weight. They say the feet shouldn't be a problem that is coming from three different pediatricians. They all said the same thing. It'll just take time and rubbing them a few times a day will help turn them back to a normal position and of course he might in the future need boots and that is normally only worn at night time. But there is sports and activities that he can do to help with that as well. My husband and his dad had the same thing as babies and small children. I can't wait for my daughter to come home. She won't be here for a few more days. It gives me and my husband a few days to bound with the baby with out others getting in the way and it also gets some of his doctor appointments out of the way with out me having to drag the other one with me.

Congratulations on the birth of your son. It is great to hear that he was a bigger baby than his sister was and it is even better to hear that you will be able to be at home with him so soon (I'm assuming that you are at home with him already). The time that your labor took was very similar to that which I had with both of my children. It is always so much easier on the mother when they don't have to spend hours upon hours in painful labor. I'm sure that you are very much looking forward to introducing your daughter to her little brother.

Oh yes we are both home. We where sent home just like last time with in 48 hours of delivery. Yes can't wait to show her in person her little brother. Saturday can't get her soon enough because she will be here this Saturday coming. She got to see him in pictures and on Skype but she still points to her own tummy when you tell or ask her where JD is. Hopefully she doesn't get too jealous of him. I know she has spend a month away from home and with her new baby cousin but it's totally different when it's there own sibling living in the same house with them taking up there mommy's time.

There wasn't too much work to be done at all. Yeah 6 hours of labor but it went by quick and I had been contracting for 3 weeks up to that point so it was like finally freedom from the contractions. 6 hours was noting compared to 16 hours with my first. I just went in walked around and with in 2 to 3 hours was farther then they thought. They didn't think I would move that quick and it wasn't as bad as my first the contractions weren't as hard or as intents. I was actually walking around the hospital with in a hour from having. Moving and stuff helps with recovery. Thank you for the congrats. It's a joy to have two little ones now.

Congrats on having your second baby, what a joy. Anyway, for your son's little feet, you should not worry too much about it since the doctor also feels that he will grow out of it. Sometimes things are not that terrible so don't imagine for the worst.

I'm not worried. My husband and his dad had the same thing with there feet as well. The thing is that he might need boots some time down the line but for right now all we have to do is rub his feet and for most babies that all they ever need. I'm not imagining the worst we where told what the worst could be and that is just surgery to pin the bones in the correct way if they don't correct themselves but they won't really know that for a while. Outside of his feet looking bad when you look at them they seem really bad but they aren't. They are already getting loser to where you bend the ankles better and that is just in the 3 days since he's been born.

We are both doing just fine. He's feet will be okay. It'll just takes some time and as he gets bigger they will correct themselves for the most part. Nothing serious it's just positional feet which means he has all the bones and feeling to his little feet it's just where he has been laying inside me for so long in pretty much the same position they got stuck and locked into place but since babies are so bending they normally just as they get bigger the feet get better. They look really bad but over all they are just fine. I'm doing just great, recovering like last time which shouldn't take to long. It only took me the the 6 to 8 weeks to recover with my daughter and she was a lot smaller but also this time it was a much easier delivery for me that health time is a bit shorter. I have less stitches and all.
