don`t you ever remember one of the qualification match (qualifying stages of the 2002 world cup)..the match is played in Olympia stadium in Munich..
and England is surprised crushing the home, Germany 5-1..
The england manager in this game is Swedish, Sven Goran Eriksen and the manager of Germany is Rudy Voeller..
Rudy voller use the formation 5-3-2...He puts 3 centre back, Thomas Linke, Jens Nowotny, Christian Worns and put Jorg Bohme as left right back, and Marko Rehmer as right full back..Sebastian Deisler as Attacking Midfielder for supporting Carsten Jacnker and Oliver Neuville when Dietmar Hammad and Michael Ballac as the central midfielder..Oliver kahn is Germany captain in this game..in the bench, there are another player like Gerard Asamoah, Sebastian Kehl, Miroslav Klose, Oliver Bierhoff and Jens Lehman..

The game is always remembered by England fans as one of their best game under Sven Goran Erikssen. This game make the popularity of Sven Goran eriksen is increased and make the Germany public did not trust the performance of German national team under Rudy Voller..
but in the world cup 2002, rudy Voller answered many critics to him, when he brings his team until final before lost 0-2 from Brazil..And their captain, Oliver Kahn as the best player in the tournament (2002 world cup)

You should watch the performance of Sebastian Deisler too, one of the talented Germany footballer which never get the higher level because of his injured..

I think that it was the best ever match I watched England played. They simply swept aside the Germans with ease and fluency. No one could have predicted that it would be such an incredible scoreline of 1-5 in Munich. Michael Owen really showed his ability with a fantastic hat-trick. But sadly it was a performance that was not to be repeated in the World Cup 2002 proper. Yes, it was a memorable match for England.

I remember seeing that result in the papers the next day and was shocked. At that point in time England was in decent form, but no one expected a 5-1 mauling of the Germans. The result was probably as much a shock for the English as it was for the Germans. And undoubtedly it was the best result for Sven Goran Erricson.

I can still remember my shock when I turn on the TV to watch the last few minutes of the game. I could not believe the scoreline and wonder if it was wrongly inputted. I was not alone. In fact, another fan walk beside me, look at the screen, turn to face me with a bewildered look and ask if it was a joke. That was definitely a shocker of a result.

I was very young when this game was played, and I don't really remember it, but I remembered the result. It was one of the poorest qualifying game in the history of Germany, but what mattered the most is that both teams have qualified to the WC 2002 and Germany made a great final tournament.
As for Deisler, he was a huge talent, but he had a bad physical and psychical condition, which made him end his career at the age of 28. I was very sorry for him, because his footballing skills, his tactical understanding and precise shooting and passing could have made him to one of the legends of the German and international football.

Yes, he was injured during the WC 2002. It was a real shame, because he could have helped Germany in the final against Brazil.

Wow, yes it's true. All the goalscorers come from Liverpool players.
Compare to these days, many Liverpool players were also called in the current national teams. But it seems like England reputation is hard to reach the top. Is it the same symptoms with Liverpool? 
One player attracts my attention: Sebastian Deisler. Yes, he had to get off early because of his injuries. Sadly for him, since he a good player back then

yes, Sebastian Deisler attract me when iam searching in youtube..
he is one of the footballer which decide earlier retired..if iam not wrong, he is retired when he is still 26 years old..What a sad for Germany national team..When they still needs one of the best playmaker..
England reputation?? they ever get it when the world cup 1966, world cup 1986 and world cup 1990..Gary Lineker and Peter Shilton make they are great team..
but now??iam unsure..the factor of coach make me lost hope..
