From around two to three months every time I start my computer I need to press f1 to get started. I think by pressing f1 I start my computer with basic settings. I need to set time and date every time I start my computer, now I am fade up and want to solve this problem. I searched about this issue and I got to know that it happens if hardware part like fan or motherboard is lose or have other issues and we can easily get rid of this problem but in my case I do not know what is the problem? and I want to solve this issues without any critical or complex steps and I am not computer expert to perform CMOS and BIOS.

Hi Gaja Gamini, I realize that I still lack of lots of knowledge about computer, therefore when facing problem I usually would ask friends who are good in this to solve the problem in case I myself couldn't get the pc restored. If still couldn't I then will send it straight away to the computer shop. Of course I have to pay for it. Anyway it's better than to waste time to try do it blindly Happy posting and have a nice day

I am also not knowledgeable person about computers but I am curious in various things and want to learn many things about computer and online activities. I try to solve my problems by own ask for help if needed. Yes, you are right it is not good to spend a time in things in which we are not good or do not have knowledge and interest. it is better to get or consult a person or service provider who is good in it.

Hi GajaGamini, I do not know about pressing of F1, why you have started pressing F1 while starting your computer. If you do like that every time you have to do like that only,if not the system will now work. I too do not know much about computers, even basic things also in computer. It is better to consult a technician to fix the problem, have a nice day.

I hope this a minor problem and it will get solve easily and I would not need to contact technician. I will research about what can be the reason for it and for can be the ways through which I can solve this problem.

To avoid pressing F1 for resume then call a technician and tell him/her to repair your PC for good. You may need to change your battery.

First things first: are you using a laptop or a desktop? You might need to change your battery, try to seek assistance from a friend with technical experience to do it for you. Or might be there are few other reasons that cause this. Is there an error message showing up? Or anything so that we can figure it out.

I am using Desktop computer not Laptop. I guess you are right that can be the reason I need to set date and time every I start my desktop computer. I have a friend who is computer sale and repairer, I think he may know the reason. yes, there can be other reasons for it.
