We have a special type of party coming out soon.It involves some of my friends and some of my classmates. The "party" involves,in the first part,a dinner, and in the second part a dance-free time.I was wondering whether to wear a suit or regular clothes(long black pants and a T-shirt). If you were in my place, what would you choose between those two?

Hi, Oktavist! I think that black pants sounds good but in combination with a nice shirt, not too casual. But it depends on the place. Any way, you could ask for advice some of your friends. I'm sure that you'll have a great party! Don't forget to tell about it later.

Hello Oktavist and welcome to myLot. It sounds like you are going to a great party. As far as what to ware It depends on where the party is being held. If it is being held in a formal place then go with the suit. If in an informal setting then go with the black pants and a button up shirt. A button up shirt looks very classy with out being too dressy. Just not a T-shirt. A t-shirt is just too informal for a dinner and dance. Have a rip roaring good time.

Unless its was an outside hang out place or a sporting event I would definately were a suit...(you can alway dresses in down like unlose your tie or open your collar on the shirt,) especially when it include dinner and dancing...It a much more appropriate look.. Good luck and have fun...

Hello! Do you know what the other people will wear at the party? If it's too formal, you could wear a suit, although I think it would be uncomfortable for the dancing part. You can wear the shirt that you were going to match with the suit and the suit pants, to make it look more relaxed but still be formal! Check with your friends before you decide, because if they are going to wear t-shirts then you should wear the same to feel more comfortable!

I think it is better to wear a casual wear. It looks formal, but you can go for the dance for all part.
