My friend would not always depend on her family. She always try to look for ways not to ask money from her father. Her mother having different family already or different partner, she just has her father to depend on. Although her grandmother is better off she does not ask for anything from her although she lives on her grandma . She tries to find some small business like working for her friends business. Although she does earn that much but she does get some extra money from those extra job. So she can pay for her education and other personal expenses.

she is doing a good job, being independent is nice, i think she has seen some ups and downs in her life, may be that's the reason she doesn't want to depend on others , and there is no loss, in earning, most of the people gets spoiled ,when situations are not good, but your friend is wise, she is using it in the right way

yes, i also notice that there are people who just want to depend on allowances or financial support and not interested to work anymore. it's okay to ask for help once in a while to help you get back on your feet, but not do it forever.

i think students today are lucky because they can now earn online as long as they have internet and computer skills. but do prioritize your studies then just make up for it during long holidays or vacations.

Maybe the separation of her parents has prompted her to be independent and learned to make ways for her financial needs. I guess that is a good attitude she learned from her parents' separation. It gave her the idea not to depend on anyone around her to live independent.

Oh, she's really independent. That's good. She doesn't want to be a burden to her own father and grandmother. It's also good to earn her own money at least it's from her own sweat. She won't feel guilty on how she spends it, etc. Happy mylotting.

true. when you earn money you worked for, you're free to spend it as you wish. when you depend on allowances, you are constantly reminded by the giver to budget it and they will even comment on your purchases.

Give your friend a pat on the back. That is just recommendable that she is able to be that independent even when she is in school.I have learned from life experience that it is better to give than to borrow as the one who gives has something to give.
