Our daily stroll schedule is off due to bad weather

It's almost 2 weeks that we haven't gone out of the house for our regular stroll time with the kids. It rains every afternoon, just around the hour when we're supposed to be walking around the neighborhood. I really hate it, and my toddler is missing it already.
I hope the bad weather stops so we'd have our happy afternoon stroll again.

Does that mean that if it was to rain for weeks or months, the children would not get outside? That is so sad
Surely if you cover them up well they can go out just the same in the rain? We did when we were kids. Mother put us out in all weathers

That never crossed my mind. It would seem like I'm an irresponsible mother if I take the two kids out on a rainy day, and there's thunderstorm. My neighbors would freak out on the sight of a mother with a 3month old baby and a 4year old girl walking around the neighborhood under a bad weather.
I do remember when we were still young, we used to run around the streets wet from the rain. But, that's no longer common in most places here in our country. I think the climate change brings more trouble than fun, this time.

I didn't mean that you should take them out in a thunderstorm!
We used to play in the mud too but that no longer happens eaither. Kids don't have the fun that we have and they don0t get immune to the bugs that we were immune to either. Instead they get allergies thesw days because they (and everything else)is too clean.

I think healthworkers are just more cautious now than before, due to the changing world and all the negative health factors that come with it. So they make and introduce products that will help protect humans from the different sickness we can get around.

Jurea, i hope by now you are able to do your daily stroll like usual again. indeed, it is very sad if we are unable to do our daily activity like usual. I do like to go for a walk in the evening in my home compound if i am free. I like to look around my flower garden whenever i am free. It relaxes my mind and body while i walk and sweats out. Even my child also learned to like to follow me go walking around in our home compound. We seldom go to the nearby beach for a stroll since it is very warm and windy.

The weather is still erratic over here. We get good sunshine for a couple days, and then bad thunderstorms the next day. So, we only get to stroll for 2-3 days in a week.
