After failing to qualify from the group stages last year, Man City was hoping to do better this time. But now that looks extremely tough as they are in the Group of Death with the likes of Real Madrid, Ajax and Borussia Dortmund. What is funny is that all four league winners are in one group!! Do you think Man City can qualify from this group? Cheers! Ram

If it was after me, the teams which would qualify from this group would be Dortmund and Ajax. But in reality, the teams which will qualify will be Real and City, because they are better than the Dutch and German champions. Dortmund is unable to play well in European competitions, I think they are afraid of something and that is why they have no chances in front of Real and City. But maybe I am wrong and they will be able to make a surprise.

I think based on last year both Dortmund as well as Man City have a lot to prove in the Champions League. So in that sense both are in the same boat. I think this will actually be much closer that you think. Cheers! Ram

They have made a good start so far winning 1 and drawing another. Now they face Real Madrid today. Due you think they can beat the Spanish Giants. Cheers! Ram

I certainly hope that Dortmund can qualify, like you said they owe it to the German football. They need to prove that they are worthy German champions and not only because Bayern focused on the Champions League also and they haven't. I don't like them in the internal competition, but I wish them all the best in Europe, till they meet Bayern. How great would be a Dortmund-Bayern Champions League final.

This draw shows how screw up the seedings are. You have four champions all in one group. Instead of using coefficient to determine the pot the clubs are in, they should use the league position. All champions to be in pot 1, second place in pot 2 and so on and so for. Without a doubt, a team like Barcelona or Man Utd have more appeal than say the champions of the Latvia league but this should eliminate the scenario of Group D.

Unfortunately, the seedings are based on the performance in the last year's Champions League and not in the domestic league. So in that sense, both City and Dortmund were definitely seeded low. Cheers! Ram

Not so sure. But if they can learn their mistake last season i do hope city can overcome their internal problem. To play in champions league not just need good squad but also have experience and good mentallity.

Yes, squad plus experience is necessary. Two sides in this group Man City and Dortmund were very disappointed by their showing last year. It would be interesting to see who has learned most from the last season. Cheers! Ram

Yes, Manchester City hope they get better play in the Champions League this season after last season they failed to the next round. But the situation in the draw they have to fight against the Spanish champions, the Netherlands and Germany. This is not good news. but perhaps the strength of the current team Manchester City can move to the next round accompany real Madrid.

Yes, on paper Man City and Real Madrid should go through. But the other two sides are real dangerous sides who know how to win. Cheers! Ram
