One legend once again plays in Asian league..
Raul is playing in Qatar league..
Drogba and Nicolas Anelka is in china league..
and now Del Piero is in Australian League..
it sounds good you know..
i imagine it will inspire many other asian league like my country (Indonesia) maybe..
What do you think the influence of Del piero for Australian league and the asian league development as overall??

Yes, this is good news for football Asia where most of the European players choose MLS after they no longer compete on the European stage but some of these players in the league chose to Asia. This is good news. Maybe someday if football in Indonesia is rising prestige of the European players can play in the Liga Indonesia. I think the influence of Del Piero after competing in Australia is the rationale for European players who have not played in European leagues can think of alternatives to the MLS.

Ok my friend.
Yes, I know, a few years ago, the world player ever to play in the Liga Indonesia, such as the Mario Kempes, Roger Mila, Lee Hendrie and many others. Even this season Mitra Kukar plans to bring Fredrik Ljungberg, but he decided to retire.

I think this transfer is purely based on the salary del Piero will receive. I thought he has retired, but it seems that he still can play at a lower level and I guess he will get enough money for doing so. The transfer is done and the fans in Australia will enjoy seeing a legend playing in their league.

It is final, del Piero has signed for two seasons. He will be a media star, I believe, just like Beckham in the USA. The level in the Australian League cannot be so high, I think.

Though Australia is put by FIFA in the Asian group, Australia is not asia. :) They were put in that group to give two teams from Oceania to get to the FIFA world cup, which I am not sure was a great idea. Anyhow, I think it is good for Australia if a player of Del Piero's stature goes and plays there.
Cheers!

Yes, but that is because of a stupid FIFA ruling. What was happening was Australia used to play in the Oceania group before which is actually the group where they should be playing. But there are no guaranteed spots for Oceania as the winner of that group will end up playing a direct playoff with top non-qualifier from South America and they were not able to qualify for FIFA world cup. So Australia said that it wanted a more direct route into the FIFA finals and so they were put in the Asian group!! So they now play in all Asian FIFA tournaments.
Cheers!

i think it is the way of Australia for participating in World cup..
they know if they are still in Ocenia area, they must play against one team from American area and it must be hard for them for being participants in World cup..
In Asia, their level are same with the good country like Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia and iran..They know exactly that they are level same with 4 above country...

Sound a good one for asian country development in football. as you say more star can come to asian league it will be a good impact on the team. in this case is delpierro in australian league, of course that will increase income for the clubs with more fans come to stadium. That is one of the positive thing.

actually I thought that Juventus just let Del Piero stay and let him play until he wants to retired. Del Piero is Italy legend and he still can play very well even he is not young anymore. Sydney FC, his new club in Australia will be very lucky to get his service. it's a good news that once again there's a football legend come and play to Asian league. this will increase the passion of football in Asian league and will be special motivation. how about the legend play in Indonesia?? may be someday we'll get the chance, but first we still have to solve our complicated problem that never been solved...

do you forgot that Roger Milla and Mario Kempes had ever played in Indonesian league??
they are legend too..Roger Milla is cameroon legend..and Mario Kempes is Argentinian legend..
i don`t know why Juventus didn`t give the charity for Del Piero..of course i think Del Piero still plays in higher competition like Serie A...

Roger Milla and Mario Kempes is very popular football player, but I don't know if they ever played in Indonesia league, so is this true?? but with our football condition now, do you think this possible for a football star play again in our league??
may be Juve try to make a great revolution now, but still, Del Piero is their icon. they should keep him
