I need to just get rid of it

I paid $1200 for a moped that I never will ride and it's rotting outside, even with a tarp on it. I need to get it sold, but I listed it on a group and no takes, I wont' do craigslist. I'm thinking of asking a friend if she knows anyone or if her man can use it for parts, I'd take $500 for it... I need it gone as it serves me no good just sitting outside rotting and the $500.00 would go towards a car and basically freedom...
But I'm not sure WHERE to list, craigslist is out, so is a few local cheap ad newspapers... hmm
How would you get rid of it?

I remember how you worked so hard to save the money for the moped. Did you ride it and not like it? I am so sorry that it is not being used but you are right. It is now better to sell it. Can you not put up an advert in your local shops or supermarkets? \what about an advert in a local newspaper. Also, spread the news of you wanting to sell it by telling everyone youy know and asking them to help you to sell it. Good luck

I don't want to put it in some local papers because the place I got it from adverises there I do believe and so I don't want them to end up seeing it. I know it sounds ridiculous, a friend told me that as well.
Last night I put it on ebay classifieds and so we will see if it gives us any good leads. I will see about putting it up in local grocery stores though but there is really only one chain that has a bulletin board where one can put something like that up in. The library I may be able to do though...

I called a place and they said I could get $600 out of it, so I am hoping to atleast get $500.00. If I don't get any bites by next Saturday when I meet with friends, I will see if they want to bite.

Hi, SomeCowgirl. How have you been?
Have you tried some local places that allow you post notices on a bulletin board? In my area we have a whole foods grocery store that has such a bulletin board and also some coffeehouses do. If you live near a college town, that would be a good place to hang some flyers on bulletin boards.
In the meantime, take off that tarp and go for a ride occasionally. It might do you good.

It may but I won't be riding it. I don't want it to get in any bad condition or anything nor do I want to be harmed. It was a really big mistake and I'm just trying to sell it away. I'll check with wholefoods to see if they'll let me hang one up as well as other grocery stores around.

I put my car on Craig's list and sold it within 24 hours. It had been sitting up for a long time and I had no hope of fixing it. I got another car, and finally got the old one ready to go. It was a very easy and pleasant experience. I suppose you could try ebay...

Not using craigslist is more because the place I bought it from uses craigslist. I'm using ebay classifieds and not ebay itself, but hoping to get a result from it soon. If not I suppose I'll talk to a friend when I meet her on saturday and maybe her and her beau can benefit from it...

Why does it matter that the place you got it from uses Craigslist? You bought it, you don't use it, you've decided to sell it. You haev the right to do what you want with it.

I suppose it's really my own self feeling guilty about using craigslist and them seeing it, it's not like they will call me up or anything but I am a sensitive natured fool lol.

I've tried facebook but I am looking at an ebay site as well, I just want it gone as it's doing me no good just sitting where it is.
