Got so sick last night

I didnt have any low fat foods to eat. We had pizza and bread sticks in the freezer so my daughter baked it. I had a couple of cheese sticks and 2 small pieces of pizza. I began to feel sick within a few minutes. I went to bed and then my mouth went wo watering the way it does when I'm sick. I thought I was clear and lay down again and got sick again. I finay went to sleep. I was freezing like I had a fever. The doc had said nit to eat any fried foods for 2 months. It's only been a month and pizza isn't fried. I had no idea I would be so sick after gall bladder surgery. Has anyone had an experience being sick eating stuff after GB surgery? What is your experience?

hi dear PQ I am soo sorry you got sick after having that bit of pizza. I guess bread sticks were all right as they dont contain much fat so it must have been the pizza. I still have my gall bladder but hubby lives without it and feels great. He also eats quite a bit of fatty stuff and nothing happens to him. I think of getting that out but want to wait as long as I can. seems I had several gall bladder inflammations by now which went untreated and unnoticed.

You may have stones RitterSport. I had them for a long time with no problem and then recently started getting sick and it was infected so bad it rotted. I don't think I ever want real pizza again. I can eat Lean Cuisine pizza cause it is low fat and just a single serving. I had an Asian dinner today that I made two meals of. It was really good. I think tomorrow I will cook some rice and have with it. I did good today with eating but still felt a little under the weather.

hi dear PQ there were no stones when I got the check up where they said there must have been inflammations I didnt even notice and overlooked. That Asian dinner sounds good. I am glad you are eating again. Hope you get better soon.

Just wanted to say hope you're feeling better this morning!! I guess the gall bladder helps to digest fats - and without it, the body has to adjust to digesting fats in a different, slower way. I can imagine frozen pizza with all that cheese (and whatever is in the crust) having fat - plus those bread/cheese sticks. Just enough to tell your body ARGH!! This experience might steer you away from pizza for a long while - but that's definitely a good thing anyway! Take care, PQ!

Not by far. My gut doesn't work right. Have to take metamucil per doc's orders to go and that doesn't always work. Going potty causes me to get short of breath and very sweaty. I am So concerned about a heart attack. Being a nurse I know that many older people die on the toilet. I'll be glad when everything gets to normal.

Pizza isn't fried but it is one of the top 10 foods not to eat after gall bladder surgery. I am sending you a regular email my friend with a list of what to stay away from. Hope you are feeling better today.

I got the article Cooking. Thanks. I do well with chicken and turkey without skin and baked or mashed potatoes. Keeping it bland seems to work well for me. I'm doing better every day. Still have breathing problems. I have a new wheelchair for when my breathing is mire compromised.

That's great, glad you now have the list and can work around it for the next few months so you don't have another episode like last night. The wheelchair will be helpful when you need it and knowing it is there and not wanting to use it may just be a push the psyche needs to heal a little faster.

Hello Mam Take care of your health. Stay away from eating fast food. Drink plenty of water. Get plenty rest too. Remember, health is very expensive. If you are healthy then your family will be happy. Nice to meet you. :)

Most who perform surgery, doctors advised them light specialties, either boiled or grilled because they are mild and harmless

Sometimes cheese added to the high-fat pizza, it should not be recommended to eat after surgery. The problem that we have not adhered to strict adherence to what our doctor says.

Aww thats awful you got so sick. I have never had gall bladder surgery so I cant be of much help with advice. A friend of mine had to have her gall bladder out when she was pregnant with her daughter. I know there are a lot of foods that she cannot eat now. I hope that you are ok today. Stay away from pizza from now on. I love pizza I would be very upset to not be able to eat it anymore. I am craving pizza since thinking about it now lol.

I can eat the individual Lean Cuisine pizza but that's it. I'll never try to eat real pizza again. I never want to be that sick again.

PQ, hope you are feeling better by now. I just got to know from one of my relatives that people who are having surgery at the lower part of the body should avoid pizza and other cheesy foods for the first few months. Wait until everything goes normal, then only you can consume those cheezy foods bit by bit. Always try your best to avoid food that you should not consume at this moment. Hope you do take good care of yourself always.
