Is it really worth it anymore to publish a book? I have written several books, but with all the new ways to read a book without an actual book is it really worth it to publish a book as an actual book or would it be more worth it to just publish it to Kindle or ebook?

I love the scent of actual books, even if my friends call my way old school, it's just not the same with ebooks.

I do not like much reading but given the facts above I think it is really an advantage to have an ebook rather than the common book. However, given my situation, my head would really ache spending too much hours on gadgets. Another good thing in the traditional book is that you can write notes directly to a specific page or so. I do not know if that is already possible in ebooks.

There really are a lot of advantages that you get with using ebooks rather than the actual books, aside from having all copies being accessible, it really is very convenient, specially if you travel, but it just can't compete with the whole reading experience having it from an actual book.

I think ebooks are better because they are easier to take when you travel and stuff, also they are cheaper so people prefer to buy them, also you donĀ“t use paper which is better for the environment. So I think its better for you to just publish the Ebook.

Printed copies are still the best. The scent of each pages brings you to a whole new world while reading your favorite book. The modern technology brings a whole new twist with all the e-book readers out on the store. I think it's best to publish both a hard copy and a soft copy. Every readers has its own prerogative.

Well, I buy paperbacks from time to time but that depends on the author and the book itself. It doesn't matter if I shed money for a book as long as it is worth it! Oftentimes, I use Kindle or I download e-books instead.

With a ebook you could publish it tomorrow if you wanted with the potential to start making money right anyway, however everything is down to you. With an actual book you could be waiting years to get published, but when you do the publishers take care of everything for you. Some authors publish an ebook themselves and then get picked up by a mainstream publisher, but this is rare. I would recommend you publish your work as an ebook and see how you do. Some of the best places to self-publish are Amazon and Smashwords. You could also try Itunes. Good luck in whatever you decide to to.

I say, publish the book! I love to read and enjoy sitting down with a good book. I know many many people prefer a more technological way to read but I still enjoy having the book. Reading from an actual book seems to be easier on my eyes than reading from a computer or nook etc.

I think it will be better to publish a eBook because you dont need to hunt down a publisher . It also depends on what your books are about because I would not give up certain books to I rather read from a actual books .
