I'm a tall and slim woman. And ever since high school, I have maintained this kind of body. I wanted to gain some weight for I am only 45 kilograms but almost 5'5 in height. People have different reactions towards this. Some would tell me I should eat more often and plenty for I'm so skinny. For those who know me well, I love to eat and I hate to be hungry. Food is love. I also get plenty of sleep consuming at least 8-10 hours a day. And some people it's a good thing too, cause nowadays, they usually complain that it's hard to be on a diet and maintain a low weight but here I am, complaining to gain some. Some would regard me as a model and that maybe I'll get some fat when I get pregnant. I still want to gain some weight, even only to 50 kilograms, it's just so hard! I even have supplemental vitamins to support me. Any advice?

Hi, I'm 23 years old now and my doesn't really change even I do eat a lot, well my tummy increases its rounded when full, but I don't really get enough mass in my body. I really don't sleep a lot and I sweat really easily. I really don't know what could I do to gain some mass I tried push ups but I think the reason why I really don't gain mass its because I'm that lazy and shy. This shyness of mine makes me really shy that I could not exercise infront of my brother, I really hate this shyness. Now I'm really planning to do 15 push up in the morning everyday before changing into my office attire and go to work while my brother is sleeping. I don't know any vitamins to help me, I you do know can you please advice me some? I really think if you will eat good, sleep and do excercise it might help you gain a little weight.

i highly recommend regeron-e plus arvin. It is actually recommended by my doctor. I know this is a case to case basis but regeron has a buclizine content that do wonders in gaining weight. The gain weight is permanent too because buclizine will maintain the weight we've gained. There are supplements that if it stops taking , the weight will be back to its previous state.

I have always had the opposite problem, too much weight and a hard time loosing it. I do understand though that not everyone is the same, some might say you are lucky not to put on weight but nothing is more frustrating then working at trying to loose in my case weight and no matter what I do I just cannot seem to loose any. You have the opposite problem, but it is just as frustrating I suppose. The advice I can give you is first of all go to the doctor, make sure nothing is making you loose or have difficulty putting on weight. If there are no medical problems, they may be able to help with a diet, it could be you do a lot of exercise or burn a lot of calories, or maybe it is genetic, your family may all part of it may be thin too, they could give you something to increase your appetite or recommend some supplements. I now it is difficult but just add more calories to your diet, not just sugary things because they are still unhealthy but try and increase your food quantity, not a lot at a time, if you really like a meal try and have a little more each time slowly your stomach will react to this and in that way, the amount of food you eat will increase and thus hopefully you will be able to put on weight. I hope you achieve your weight goal and that you are able to keep it there. Good luck.

I am so like you!!!I try to eat healthy, I run as much as I can, although I do have a very sweet tooth (HA!). I think that every time I eat, they get stuck on my belly and thighs and become lumps. I think you may be right, if there is no medical reason to on becoming thin, it is genetics. Like, I think genetics plays a role on my slow metabolism :)

You are very lucky to have maintain such weight even though you eat and sleep a lot. You metabolism is high that's why you burn so much fat just for a small activity. Nothing much you can do. Just pray hopefully after you get married situation will change. Just like myself, I use to eat and sleep a lot as well but I never gain weight. Now after 3 years got married, I can see my belly building lots of fat. Previously my weight only 54 but now already reach 60 with maintain height 5'5".

haha! yes, my mother always say that to me, maybe after marriage I will gain weight. After all, my mother isn't that much of a weight either. Even in her near 50s, she maintains her body well. Thank you! :)

I guess it's something to do with your metabolism! It also happened to me when I was in high school, I ate and ate but nothing happened to me - still skinny! But you know, the most important you must consider is your health. Are you healthy? Do you feel good all the time? If you do, no need to gain weight, or it will just happened sometime in the near future, just don't mind it! The law says : the secret is feeling good. If you are not sickly, then it's a great gift!

Eating is just one part of the story. The more important factors are digestion and assimilation. You might like to visit this link for more on this: http://www.diet.com/g/digestion-and-absorption

try to take multivitamins. I was also slim when I was a student but after I graduated from college, I took Regeron-E plus as my supplement, it has a buclizine content that could gain as more weight and in case we stop taking it, what we've gain will be maintained. Take it for a few months. If ever you see no improvements, consult the doctor.

You are lucky to have that type of body! You do not need die yourself from doing diets just to make yourself thin. The reason for you having this is because you have a faster metabolism. It means that you are able to burn the food in a shorter amount of time than others do.

Well, not only you face to this problem. I am a slim gal too even though i eat a lot and sleep too much. But i don't worry much about my appearance...i am happy with it ...just have a thinking that..many women out there have to take diet and try many ways to lose their weight while we can eat as much as we can, don't need to take diet, can sleep much....and our weight is remained...we are lucky, right?

I hate ppl like u ;) lol!! I'm just kidding but what I was going to say is this. I'll trade u! I'm a big plumpcious woman and ur supermodel skinny, I'll give u some if u give me some!? That thing about gaining weight during and after pregnancy is sometimes true. I think it has a lot to do with motabllism each of us have. My baby sister is very much like u and after her baby she got her body back but she's no longer a size 0 she is a size 3! But she eats a lot like as much as three growing boys! However with me after I had my 2 I got my body back except it came with more stretch marks! My husband says I look the same to him but I more glowi...I take that as a compliment when it comes from him!

Do you take exercise regularly? Many people say that exercise can help in burning fat and losing weight but exercise also can help to gaining weight, you need to go to gym and ask the trainer there what kind of exercise to build your body shape and then you need to check the food you are consuming. The more food you are consuming doesnt mean it will increase your body weight fastly but you also need to see the nutritional facts from the food you are consuming...who knows maybe it looks like you are consuming double plate of food but it actually has low calorie, so dont just focusing in the quantity of foods you are taking but see the nutritional facts like carbohydrat, protein, fat, vitamin, etc. Im not sure about your daily activity whether you are an active person or not, because if you are an active person then your energy is used for your activity or maybe you are the type of person who has highvmetabolism who burns calorie faster than average.

Would you mind if i ask you how old are you? Age is a factor in gaining weight actually. If you are still young then you have to enjoy it, i mean, when you get older, say you reach 30, gaining weight isn't a problem because you eventually gain it without effort, especially when you get married. So for now, as long as you are healthy, being skinny must not be an issue. Don't think of other people would say, as long as you are happy with it and you can wear and eat all you want then enjoy it.

I think health is the most important thing no matter slim or fat. If you feel comfortable, I think just let it go. If you have determined to gain weight, the first one I think you need to do is to physically check your stomach, ensuring it works well and digest well. There is one way to gain weight, I supposed. Eat food and replenish the milk before you go to bed. It is easy to gain weight for one more dinner.

I am just like you during my teenage years. No matter how much i eat, i would still be skinny. However, i started getting some poundage when i was already in my tertiary years. I think, i took an appetite stimulant that made me start gaining weight. So, maybe you should consult a doctor about it. They know what's best for you.

You are not the only one with this problem. Since you don't write what you do eat it's hard to advice. You could start with taking extra calories like in ISOSTAR for example (can of drink over 1000 it's for sportsmen made). It is also possible that you have too much iodine in your body which make you burn more energy as others.

Hi friend, glad to hear that you eat a lot and sleep a lot but you are slim. Though maybe you need to strengthen your stomach absorb funtion to make you a little stronger, I think many people who are fat may envy you since you can enjoy food but keep fit at the same time and no need to worry about to be fat! Ha ha! Of course, it is my point of view under the situatin it is no harm to your health. If you think it is not good to your health and need to add your weight, pls go to a doctor and ask for his or her suggestion.

Maybe it's in your genes to be that skinny. At your height, your ideal body weight should be at about 56kg. Do you have the same built as your parents or any mamber of your family? If so, that may be the case is. I also think that you sleep a lot, 7 hours of sleep is enough based on studies made. I've read that sleeping a lot will make you thinner. I hope I did contribute just a bit about your querry.

hey lingling, its soo cool reading about you because finally i found someone having the exactly the same issue like me. My friends call me barmuda triangle:D because they believe watever i eat it disappear in my tummy:D. Its ok its good to be skinny unless you don't feel lethargic and depressed. Enjoy live , think in this way you can eat as much as you want with out being woried about calories, you will gain weight once you will get pregnant.
