There are times when we start to lose interest in what we are doing especially if we constantly encounter problems along the way. There are times when we tend to give up because we think that everything is against us, that we are being left behind or that we cannot cope with the situation anymore. How many of us think about this way?
I’ve been away from my family for several months because of the required training which we need to undergo in relation to our job. I admit, not only once, but many times that I think of quitting, of giving up and up to the extent of resigning. But thinking about my family somehow, make me able to survive the training. Just recently, I decided to reorganize the content of my laptop because I just thought it was getting messy. I just then discovered that I had downloaded several stories about success several months ago but was not able to read those because I was so busy. I started reading the stories and somehow, I realized I should have read those stories before. The stories deal with how to achieve success, how to deal with difficulties in life and how to stay strong. Reading the stories somehow made me stronger. I realized that I had been so narrow-minded all those times. Perhaps I was thinking too much about myself, my inconvenience and my unhappiness. Little did I know that I should be more concentrated on my job rather than on the inconveniences it may bring. Now, I know what to do every time I feel helpless and lonely. I will just try to browse those stories.

Whenever m broke, i suffer from few phases. I haven't yet started a family but I had been in relationships and every time i had or about to have a break-up, i was totally broke.
The first phase that I suffer from always, is being desperate. Trying to get back to the guy I broke-up with, to make things work,to compromise with everything. It's basically the denial phase. I don't want to accept that everything is falling apart.
Second phase is Solitude, I cut myself from every social activity and mourn.
The third phase is rehabilitative. In this phase, I listen to inspirational songs, songs that make me think that good times will come again and this time will pass.
But I must say, religion is the only thing that gets me back on track fully. Although, I have listened to those verses million times before, but whenever I listen to them again, I feel blessed, happy, contented and myself again.
This is when I bloom again :)
Life will continue, you can't kill yourself if it's not the time. If it is to continue, then why shouldn't one try to continue it merrily?
I find happiness in trivial things, i feel happy when it rains, i feel happy when a song that I like and haven't listened in a while plays on radio, i feel happy when a kid passes me a cute smile, i feel happy when a beggar prays from my long life.
Once you start finding happiness in trivial things, you will be happy most of your day and the day won't be a burden anymore :)
Good Luck!!

And the best part of this, even if I read the same story over and over again, I think those stories are still helpful because it serves as a reminder. Thank you for sharing jpso!

I think it is because many of these inspirational stories do have many moral lessons that every one of us can relate to. I do have a compilation of hundreds of short stories which I compiled over the years but because my hard disc breakdown, it was all deleted.

This is so true. Everyday I write about inspirational post in my blog. This reminds me that everything will be okay and that life is good. I keep my positivism when I am down through reading inspirational stories and quotes. I also want to spread positivism to all my readers that's why I don't miss posting daily inspiration.

I had this kind of moments in life. I used to complain over shallow ideas. Feeling so lost in this world. Then, realization came from having a mission in Central Asia. I was been isolated there, giving more time to reflect about my life. In that placement, I saw the real principle of having a simple life. A couple of times, I watched inspirational movies that I saved in my external drive. Basically, I don't have Filipino friends in that area, but I managed to survive and live a life with the local people. You might check my blog. It is still on the process, more stories to come. Be inspired and be happy!d:)

I agree, reading inspirational stories can really help to keep your energy levels up when life's not treating you too well. I've always been interested in space travel, so I'ver read several astronaut biographies and autobiographies, and in the last year or two I've started reading books by and about people who've become successful in business. Reading about people who've come up from nothing to achieve great things really helps to keep me motivated.

I am very interested in inspirational stories. Usually my boyfriend send me emails containing inspirational stories, I do not know where he got the story but often these stories really helped me to restore my spirit back.
In addition, I also love to watch movies based on true stories. Currently I'm addicted to watching a Korean drama that revolves around the life of a doctor from Joseon dynasti who become a legend in Korea (based on true story). The drama is titled "Hur Joon / Ho Jun" very inspiring. Everyone can find educational messages from the doctor's life story. Friendship, dedication, loyalty, love, professionalism in the work, success, devotion of a wife, how to educate, compassion, respect for life, all the inspiration you need are in this film. I recommend this film as one of the most inspiring films. And if you want to know more about herbal medicine from korea, this is a good movie to watch, you'll find lots of herbal medicine and how to use them
