China
September 5, 2012 4:52am CST
I graduated from University this June 20th , and have been working for more than 2months. I feel that i haven't back home for a long time. and miss my mother ,father ,and older sister very much. in fact , when i was in the campus , i didn't miss them so much even though i leaved for half an year , it seems that working days is longer than studying . everyday , i go to work after breakfast , after 4 hours , i have lunch with other colleague , have 2 hours rest , and go to work again , at 6 pm. it is time to off work , a days work finished , i return home , have dinner with roommates, watch some movies or play cards. everyday goes simple and similar , no surprise , i little boring . I want to to home to stay with my family . sometimes i think that if i can work at my hometown then i can go home every day , so great !

Many chinese college students only think of their parents when they ask them for money.

I can understand your pain.Last year my son was also undergoing the same pain.He was studying in a distant city and there he had to suffer a lot of problems including social and financial ones.Whenever we are away fro our parents and other family members,it sometimes becomes unbearable.Years back I had to leave for Allahabad,a city in north India. My mother was ill then.I had to remain there for a month and I can't tell you how I managed to stay there for a month. Now my son is trying to get a job.I have advised her to look for a job in our hometown and not elsewhere.

I can understand your feelings very much. Even when I joined for job, for six long months, i had been away from home. Getting a job near your house is always good. It keeps you happy and contented. And not to forget you can ge food from home everyday

Oh! No! Just after 2 months you got boring and fed up with work. Imagin, people like us, working for 20 years and more! Now you can think how much we may get bored and tired. Any way, I am just joking and for sure, you may be feeling to meet your mom, dad and others and a loving child is always desire to be with them and I suggest you to take 2-3 days of leave and go to meet them. Yes, while we are in college, it is a good time pass and we are relly involved in something and we got a lot to study and learn. Where as in office, we are working and we require some kind of change and one thing you could have done. Once completed the college, you could have wait for 1 month time before joining for the job and that 1 month gap could have give you a lot of homely atmosphere and pleasure. Anyway, try to get few days of off from job and go to meet your dear ones. Have a niced day and all the best.

Well, I can perfectly understand your state of mind. Even I who are away from home for only a week, to go to the countryside with my best friend Angelo, especially the first few days I felt much miss my family. Unfortunately I have to write down that the relationships with my family are not optimal. Exists a disadvantage in many points of view that should be seriously changed! That said, however, I am always happy to be together with my dear family!

Well, when you was in campus, you was too busy with your study so that you hadnt much time to think or miss your family. But right now you go to work, you have much time at night to think and miss your parents. if your work is good, with good income, you can arrange your time to go to meet your parents in a few days. if you think you can find a good work in your hometown where you can go home everyday then you can find it first and then move to your hometown later... Whenever you miss your parents, you can make a phone call and chat with them for awhile..

I'd give it about 4 more months. Then, if you still feel the same way , look for a job in your home town. Four more months would improve your work record somewhat and give you time to make new friends in the city where you now live.

hello, Daisykm! Why not try looking for a job near your parents' place so that you do not have to be far away from them for so long. But if ever you will find it difficult to find one there, you might as well just stick with your present job and make the most of your vacation to be with them.

Missing your family is really very hard and very sad, but not permanent. You can take consolation from the fact that you have graduated from University and that you have a job. For the sake of your career and your financial future and security you need this time to get some working experiences from this your first job. Lots of people leave Uni without hope of finding a job, so you are one of the lucky ones. You should fix a regular day and time to ring your parents, that way you will have something to look forward to every week. I suspect you are getting tired too, and that can make you feel rather down and homesick. So how about getting some early nights so that you feel more alive, and also finding something interesting to do apart from working, something that will stimulate your mind, which card playing and watching movies will not achieve. Finally, set yourself a goal for visiting your parents and finding another job in the not too distant future. I am sure it will all work out well in the end.

hey daisy , missing my family is worst feeling i have ever had . i remember my college days when i had to go out for the training . i was 200kms away from my home.despite of being with my best friends in the same room i use to miss my parents then i called them , talk to them . this helped a lot. try to make some good friends who can take care of you like family . i would also like to say that , we are alone by birth . we come alone on earth and will go alone on some day . moreover , now if you have come here(your college ) to study ,then do not miss your family . you have to live here till your studies get completed then why miss your family ? just do the job for which you family has sent you here , missing them will only distract you from your studies .be a good girl and concentrate om your studies as your families blessings are always with you.may god bless you.thanks.

Everybody deserve a break. You should get one too. Don't stress yourself from too much work. Life is not about work only. I hope you could have a leave from your work and stay with your family even just for a week. :)
