We went swimming last Saturday. Some kids were really good in swimming. I admired them. I watched them swam from here to there. Why is it hard for me to learn how to swim? LOL. Just sharing everyone. Happy mylotting.

Just keep on writing your discussions, comments and responses. You'll earn more friends for sure. You also need to observe how we make sentences, etc. In addition, you have to choose appropriate words to be understood easily.I hope you'll enjoy mylotting with us.

Oh, don't worry about your English. It's better than what you think. I got your point easily. You have chosen correct words to express your thoughts well. It's greatly appreciated. You're right. I have to learn how to float first then eventually I can swim. I really hope so. LOL. Thank you so much and happy mylotting.

Like you I don't know how to swim. When I was a child I tried to learn the skill from a friend of mine who was a very good swimmer, but I don't know how my parents were informed about my decision and they strictly ordered me not to do so.They were afraid I might get drowned.Thereafter my friend shifted to another city and settled there. And I,being always under the vigil of my parents, could not learn the skill.Still I believe swimming is a skill worth learning.

Yes, you are absolutely right. It's a skill that's worth learning. It's somewhat important too. We can save lives when we know how to swim. My son asked me last Saturday, why couldn't I swim? I answered that my father was so strict and didn't allow us to learn. We had the same situation when we were younger. LOL. Happy mylotting.

Oh, you're so lucky to have a father like him. I wish my father was open-minded like your father. He prevented us to do a lot of things. I can't also even ride a bicycle. LOL. Anyway, I want to learn how to swim. However, I don't go swimming often. I hope someday, I can make myself float and swim in the water. Yes, you're right. Pool is better when we are learning to swim. I always hold on the bar though. LOL. Afraid of getting drowned. I need to exercise my legs more. My husband said they were still slow.

My father taught me to swim, you really need someone like a dad whom you can trust for that moment when you take your feet off the bottom. It is easier to learn to swim in a pool because there is a good stretch of shallow water and bars all around so you can hold the bar and practise the leg movements. Also the water is still so you can stand steadily and go through the arm strokes too. The sea is more buoyant but on the whole the pool is safer and easier. I started by moving just a little way from the bar and managing to do some quick frantic stokes to reach it before I went down. So if I can do it so can you. Don't give up, it is much nicer to sunbathe on the beach if you can swim a little to cool off.

Hello there Angel Karah. I just hope you enjoyed your time when you went swimming last weekend. I also love going to the beach and swimming pool but I really don't know how to swim yet. Maybe, it's because I'm not doing my best to learn. I think I don't know the strategies to be done in order for me to learn how to swim. I just hope someday, there would be someone who would be patient to teach me in doing this fun activity. I also admire some young kids who could already swim. I think they are really good and I just wonder who was able to teach them. I also want to be like them. If I really like to learn how to swim, I think I should do something. In your case, I think you should also look for someone who could patiently teach you so you would really learn. That person should supervise and guide you. You might also watch some videos using the internet about the basic swimming techniques. Then, the next time you go to the pool or beach, practice what you were able to learn from the videos. Maybe it is hard for you to learn how to swim because you didn't start when you were still younger. We have the same case anyway. I hope we could both learn how to swim so we could really enjoy our time when we have the chance to go swimming again with our own families. Happy myLotting to you. Good evening. :)

Hi there Ladybugs. Yes, you're right. We need somebody who's patient enough to teach us. Maybe, trying to swim will takes us a few hours each day because we need so much time to practice. Oh, yes. Both of us can do what you have mentioned. We have to be that persistent if we really want to learn how to swim. Let's watch videos or read about swimming strategies or teachniques, etc. There's a lot to learn. Anyway, thank you for the comment. May you learn how to swim in the near future too. Happy mylotting.

Did you enroll the swimming lesson? Well when I enrolled the swimming lesson it took me so long before I learned the routines. If you have the passion to swim then probably you are going to practice it until you became expert of it. That is the thing happened to me.

I haven't enrolled yet. I hope if I have enough free time. In my place right now, there are no many swimming resorts available. I guess only one. LOL. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Ahhh if you have not yet enrolled the swimming then it is really hard to learn that. Even the intelligent ones can't be learned just like that. You really have to be in serious training in order for you to swim well. It is not easy to swim especially if you want to learn the swimming routines. It will really take time for you to learn.

Oh, don't lose hope. You have to tell yourself that you'll learn how to swim. Believe in yourself. If others can, why can't we? We just have to concentrate well. I guess it's better to learn in a private pool that public. There are many people there so we get distracted. I hope we can both swim someday. Happy mylotting.

i think very important that we can swim, because as we know most areas of our earth consists of water, wherever we go, we can meet a river, a sea, a beach, a lake, untill a swimming pool, etc. How nice if you can swim. i can swim and when i ever swimmed in a swimming pool a weeks ago, i seen many adult learned to swim. I thinks its never too late to learn to swim. and i believe you can do this with your strong will and determination.

Oh, I agree with you. Water covers 71% of the Earth's surface. We are surrounded with so much water. Therefore, learning how to swim is a must. Yes, it's not yet late for me to learn how to swim. Thank you for commenting and happy mylotting. You're lucky you can swim.

Hello dear, If the profile picture is indeed yours I doubt you are so heavy. I for one have about 95 kilos right now with 180cm height and I am also struggling to learn to swim. However I have progressed now to swimming over short distances, rather then trying to move an inch without going below like a boulder. I have a long way to go, especially if my experiences will only involve trying at the seaside, but I am hopeful that I will have the opportunity to practice more often in the near future. Practice makes perfect, especially in this sport, and you have to be, as another mylot member said it, determined, and keep at it. It doesn't have to be a specific style, you are not going at the Olympics with it, it just has to be easy enough for you to enjoy it ! Take care, Alex.

You are not alone, angelkarah! I never learned how to swim. So everytime we go to the beach, I would just be on the beach playing with the sand.

Swimming is not really hard, just to be honest. You just have to be determined in learning it. I think you can know the basics. You don't really have to learn all the styles, you won't be joining a swimming contest anyway. I think your husband could teach you not how to douggie but to learn how to swim. lol. Happy mylotting. :)

Yes, you're right. I hope I can learn even the basics. My body is so heavy, I just can't float. LOL. I don't want my husband to teach me. He'll get tired for sure. LOL. I know, there's still plenty of time for me to learn how to swim. Happy mylotting.

you can be angry with me but its really easy thing, i started to swim when i was 6,its kind of must in our family,my father is good swimmer and the other members too. i will just give you one advice, you dont need to swim perfectly and just never afraid when you down, if you make panic and try to move faster it makes you down easy, just relax and feel the salty water,it will carry you if you just relax.. its my idea;) happy mylotting
