GLOBE - Slow Postpaid Application processing everrrrrrrrrrr!

Last July 22 this year, I applied for a postpaid plan in Globe. The plan I applied for is Unli Surf Plan 1799 (1,799 Pesos) which I choose an iPhone 4s for the handset which also comes with another 4,800 Pesos cashout and have 3 freebies for me; free 20 minutes call internationally, free 25 all network text and free 10 minutes call to Globe. What I'm babbling here is that, I applied last July 22 but until now I still don't have the unit (iPhone 4s) and when I asked for a follow up in their chat agents, they always say that application is still in process. Is one whole of August not enough for that processing? Gosh! And one more thing, they already charged the credit card that I used upon paying them. Charging the credit card even the handset wasn't delivered to the customer yet is reasonable? Of course not! This just sucks! I asked them to just cancel my application since it's taking too much of my time.. but they told me they can't cancel it since it's already paid. That's the point! It's already paid yet the item isn't in my hands yet! Pardon for this.. I am just so carried away of my frustration. I regret that I ever choose this carrier! How are you doing, guys?

That's a horrible experience you had there! I was planning to get a mobile phone with this carrier too maybe this December, and I came across your topic :O So now I'm having second thoughts. And come to think of it, charging someone with an item the customer doesn't have yet is just ridiculous. Customers are always right.

Indeed! Very ridiculous! And one more thing, every time I tried to act upset while talking to their agents they sometimes disconnect me. It's just too frustrating. Almost two months of waiting is too much, isn't it?

TOO much waiting eh? Have you tried to go personally on their store (yeah I know too much effort but well..) and ask the staff their what else you can do to have the item which is already credited on your account? And it has been a long time of processing and waiting man. Not cool at all.

I haven't yet. I just keep on emailing, chatting and calling them. But, I'm giving myself until Friday. If I still don't get any feedback from them by that time... I'll definitely go to Globe's office in my area!

That is one bad service. I thought that if you applied for that plan, you'd have the cellphone unit automatically. I remember my boyfriend applying for his iPhone 4 a year ago, same plan you had with Globe, and even used his credit card for the first charge, and immediately got the unit, then and there. Your situation seems unlikely to happen and it's actually my first to hear such an incident especially with a very reputable company and cellphone carrier like Globe. They should give you a rebate or something especially since you haven't received your phone yet. Hope you'll get it soon.

They should have made any transactions with you during that time if they weren't able to give the unit at that moment when you paid for it. And besides, you even used your credit card meaning it will surely be accumulating charges for something you don't have yet. They could have emailed you or informed you in some way, when units are available so that you could've just gotten back to them to process your application. Anyway, I really hope you'd get it sooner.

Wow! Your boyfriend sure is lucky! I was monitoring Globe's twitter account and I found same cases as mine with other customers too. *Sigh* Globe used to be a great company since then. I don't know what happen. It seems like Smart is copping up and becoming better already. I hope I'll get my unit soon before I left the country. Huhuhu!

That is really a bad experience you had on Globe. I think that they taken hold of you and I think that the problem now lies on the supply of the unit you like. I know that Iphones are just too hard to find these days. You have every right to cancel your application I think. I am just not sure but I think you can file a complaint at DTI for this so if you are really that determined to cancel your application then report them to the proper authority.

Hi, I should not be hoodwinked again by Globe internet. I bought a Globe Tattoo USB internet for my laptop for Php995 way back and it really crawls, especially when I get just a few hundred meters away from the cell site. Before the webpage can be displayed, my load is all used up. Needless to say, it was all a waste of time and money, I threw it away for only P300 to an unwitting friend who suffered the same fate. Smart has more resiliency with the same price, the connection is good and has a higher bandwidth rate. I would definitely go for it next time I get an internet connection at home.

Hi ed, sad to hear about this, some service providers are in this sort, as you mentioned you don't get the device, but you are charged for it, really it is unfortunate, contact their CC persons and complaint about your issue again, hope you will get a solution.

Hi Vidh! I complaint to them almost everyday and I almost memorized every same thing their agents are telling me. I hope they'll send it to me soon. They were so respectable back then. Just don't know what happened that they have a crappy service now! Sad!

just want to ask if you have applied at the globe business center. normally, if you are applying for a postpaid plan and they do not have a unit of your choice, they will have it on pending and will call you upon unit's availability. they will not collect until the time they are able to release the unit. this is my experience in getting a line from two different carriers.

I applied online since I thought it'd be faster than applying in the business center. But they have charged the card already. Well, its a good thing they have called already. And I hope by next week, I'll have my handset na.

hope you'll be able to get your handset the soonest! anyway, i find it better to be with globe compared to the other network i got a line with. customer service of globe is better than the other. also that of the signal, globe has stronger connection compared to the other. the good thing i only appreciate with the other is due to its unlimited calls and text but i am not enjoying it due to poor network connection. :( though globe also has certain location wherein it is weaker than the other but fortunately most of the places i go...globe has signal.
