How does it feel to have a daughter?

Philippines
September 5, 2012 11:02pm CST
We are endowed with a witty, healthy and a very loving son. He's turning 8 today at exactly 2:02pm. It was really painful to give birth. We women are risking our lives. I told myself 8 years ago that one baby is enough. However, when I see cute little daughters of other couples, I feel like wanting to have our own daughter. How does it feel to have a daughter? I'm just curious about it. Fellow my lotters, feel free to share your thoughts about it. Happy mylotting.

Oh, for sure they are proud of you. Yes, kids are really our inspirations in our lives. We mold them to become better people and they also make us the best parents they could ever have. LOL. Happy mylotting proud daddy!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that you are from a broken family. Anyway, those difficulties you've experienced have helped you to go where you are now. You've matured enough dealing with those problems. Yes, wish you and your daughters the best in life. Happy mylotting.

I think we have an opposite situation because in my case I got 3 daughters and with no son. I also feel envy with those couples who have sons but whenever I see my lovely daughters, I feel satisfied. I can say that it is very fun to have a daughter. In my case I have daughters and they are now 5 years old, 3 years old and 11 months old. My first daughter looks very my like her father and also the youngest one while the second daughter looks really me....a baby me. The first 2 daughters always fight every day but every morning they find each other when the other one is not around. They have different personalities that makes them very unique. Each of them makes me happy. I love them all equally. It feels really good to have them because even though they are very young they tell me if I look bad on what I wear. They tell me when I'm fat, haha.

I have two lovely boys but wished to have daughters to complete my family. Due to complications during my pregnancies i opt to stop at two. Both boys are delivered through c-section. my eagerness to have daughters drove me to adopt two baby girls whom i love as much as my biological children. They are now 18 and 15 respectively. It is good to have daughters around as their girly behaviors balance up the boys dominance in the home front.

Oh, you've been to c-section twice. I had a normal delivery. I guess yours were more dangerous. You really did your best to have daughters around. Your family is great. You have two boys and two girls as well. It's really nice to be surrounded by children. They always bring happiness to us and to their grandparents as well. Life is incomplete without any child. Other couples decide not to have any. I can't understand how they feel. Anyway, may you and your family have best best in life. Happy mylotting proud mommy!

hi, I had 2 lovely daughters (the younger one just more than a month old) and its a great feeling. Seeing them growing up are a wonderful experience but occasionally gives me a headache.Girls will be girls and the elder one (9 years old) always want to be beautiful. I guess no matter it's a boy or girl,as long as they are healthy,i feel grateful.

Oh, yes. Gender is not an issue. As long as we are given our children, we should feel grateful because they complete our lives and make them meaningful. Oh, your baby is still so young, she's so cute to cuddle. Your 9 year old daughter is already beauty conscious. Just like my 8 year old son, he just wished for a girlfriend on his 8th bday. I guess they are earlier to fall inlove now. LOL. Thank you for sharing and happy mylotting.

Yes, I also regret not to spend so much time with my kid because of my job. It's his birthday today and I am away. I hope he is enjoying his birthday anyway. You are lucky to have two daughters. I hope you have more time to spend with your little girl. May you both enjoy her childhood. Happy mylotting proud daddy!

When I give birth to my first baby, my husband excitedly told me OUR CHILD IS A GIRL,a very cute and pretty girl. I thank God It was a normal delivery. I cannot expressed my excitement when the baby was brought to me. I pity her because what came first to my mind was this girl will also undergo all the pains I have had been through. Today my girl has turn into a full grown lady happy in her chosen profession . She is my right hand now in all our household chores especially in our house beautification, landscaping and some experimental culinary arts. It is really great to have a daughter because you could easily go along with in many aspects.

Oh, I hope I can have one too. At my age, I'm already afraid to have another pregnancy. My son is already 8 years old today. If I'll have another baby, they have a big age gap and I'm at my early 50's when she turns 20. I'm afraid that she'll just be a burden to her older brother. It's difficult to prepare for their future. Money is difficult to earn. How I wish I have a good stable job with complete benefits, etc. Having a loving, responsible daughter around is great. You're lucky that you have one.

i d nt yet experience being a mother and i wish i could be in the right time and with the right person. but, n case it would not come. maybe, i would just adopt so i would have some to look for and care for and in exchange i help some lost soul to have a home they could call there own. my oldest sister have already children with he first a daughter and and a fraternal twins, girl and by. the first child were all interested and happy to help her raise and this joy double when she have given birth to a twin. we all get excited. really, being a mother is a unselfish vocation when mother look after the welfare of there children and there world is focus on them, not like in the past where they are single they hardly take tough responsibility.

Oh, I hope you'll have your own children in the future. Yes being a mom is quite difficult. It's a very tough job. I guess when we are endowed with responsible, and smart children they will definitely make our lives complete and meaningful. Happy mylotting amd thanks for sharing.

I would not know, as I only have sons... But I've always thought that when they get married, I'll have daughters too... Wouldn't exactly be the same, perhaps; but I believe there are blessed reasons for everything...

Oh, you're right. We'll have daughter-in-laws in the future. However, they are already old enough to have their own children too. LOL. We missed their childhood. Let's just enjoy our grand daughters then. I hope we'll have one. Happy mylotting.

Though I know, I'm not in the position to reply to this discussion, because I still don't have kids. Anyways, If given the chance, I wish to have a cute a baby girl. I feel like I'm the proudest dad if I'll be having one. I have so many plans for my baby girl. And eventually take care of me when I grow old. My wife wanted to have a baby boy though. Thanks

I don't have a daughter, I was blessed with sons, but I wish I have even one so that I can make hairstyles, dress her colorfully and buy her many dolls because I want to play dolls which I miss during childhood...I think it's nice to have a daughter since you an see your reflection to her and remember when you are young. anyway I'm happy with my wonderful good sons if they marry then I'll have many grown up daughters.

Yes, I think it's cute to have a little girl. I want to hear her voice saying what she wants with her baby talk language. LOL. Oh, you are also endowed with sons like me. Yes, someday we'll have grown up daughters. Let's just hope that they'll love us in return. Some don't get along with their mom-in-laws. Anyway, that's still far from now. Let's enjoy their childhood first. Thank you for sharing. Happy mylotting.

I believe that every child is unique .. or should I say special... I have two sons and an only daughter.I am not biased, and I believe I am fair...but my daughter is a little more special , maybe because she's more sweet and caring than the other two.She has her own way of doing little things special..like when I arrive from work, she kisses and hugs me always.

Oh, such a sweet daughter you have. Yes, it's really nice to have a daughter. They will always uplift our spirits especially when they look really neat and beautiful. They are our living dolls. LOL. However, it's also good to have a son or two. They will make our houses safe when they grow older. They aren't that just vocal with their feelings. You're lucky to have your children. Thank you for sharing. Happy mylotting.
