Poor Mom ;(

Hello Lotters, You took care of that baby on your belly for like 12 months and once you gave birth to it, and JUST GOT STOLEN?!! in the HOSPITAL?!! Who's mom is gonna get sad, pissed and mad at the hospital staff and it's lacks of security for allowing this to happen. What are you gonna do and feel if your newly born child is stolen like THAT? these people obviously were planning to SELL it to the rich families, so absurd really. The Lesson is that if you're going to a hospital and a Doctor, make sure it's some one you know and can be trusted....

That is why here in America, babies have this thing around their wrist or ankle that only the hospital can remove. I don't know if they have digital ones today, but when I had my son 10 years ago, information was on the bracelet, I had one and my son had one, with my name, gender of the baby, date of birth and probably other info..This method also made sure the mother got her baby and not another baby. I can't imagine what it would be like to have my baby stolen, that is very heartbreaking... Oh, and I am sure you were in a rush to type this, but the average amount of time a woman carries a baby is 9 months, not 12...

Yes, I considered that and hopefully they will get this kind of security soon, I am sure many babies are safe from being taken since they do this..

Hello jeanneyvonne, that is too expensive on their books, besides, i think security and CCTV would have been enough. but this happened because the suspect made timing to ensure no one would recognize or follow her to begin with. yeah, I was in a rush to type it hahaha thank you for the correction.

Sadly, that has yet to come here in this country. Poor dear, she must have been scared out of her wits. I think you also have some CCTV cameras in public places like hospitals.

12 months of pregnancy is a world record. Trading babies is s lucrative business. When I got my two girls I paid a substantial amount of money to the middleman. When there is demand there is supply but unfortunately the supplier resort to stealing to meet the demand which shouldn't have happened at all.

Hello Zandi458, Yeah and I really made an error while typing, took me like five minutes after the discuss got posted. I think some foreigners out there buy adopted babies, but little known to them is that they are stolen and not abandon by parents. it's so sad that this had happened in each society. Have anice day.

Hello Hatley, Yeah no one was watching it and this is unbelievable to boot. It's definitely the hospital's fault for doing so because if not then that baby would have remain in the hospital. oh my am very sorry for my error here, i am glad i was corrected for my mistake. have anice day.

Hello Jaiho2009, Oh yeah I was in the rush that I forgot, it would be very poor if the woman would undergo 12 months and just have that baby stolen would be twice frustrating as it is. I don't know they are now like spreading rumors about how she orchestred everything which is wrong. yeah, suing the staff is the best way for it and they should cooperate in looking for the baby too. have a nice day.

i have watched this on tv patrol that's why the heartaches and sadness of the mother was obviously seen on her face. What hurts more , the investigator of the case has seen an angle that probably the mother just making this abduct scene to be cleared from high hospital bills. Ooh. It's irritating to hear that if I were the mother LK.

Hello Blebchel, What IF THE MOTHER DOPAY HER BILLS ONCE SHE GETS THE BABY? there reputation will be the ones who will be ruin in the end. right now, they are ruin because of lack of security and people all the time. this is irritating, am sure some staff there were irritated too to those who were not around during the baby nap. have a nice day.

thats terrible. i mean i would feel desperate i guess. about when you go to hospital choose a doctor that you trust isnt easy. at least in my country is almost impossible. cause when you go to hospital you cant choose the doctor. they choose one to take care of you. unless you have a lot of money to go to a private hospital. what isnt to all pockets^^

Hello Sweetloveforever, Of course, you would feel desperate your child was stolen hours after you gave birth to him or her. it's sad that the security was lacking and she's being rumored to have orchestrate the kidnapping. such a worst nightmare that a mother didn't have to go through.

Yes it is indeed tragic that a mother lose her child inside a hospital and the hospital does not have the proper security to protect the safety of their patients. I just hope that the hospital be given proper penalty for failing to ensure this and should be penalized for this mishap. PS I think it is only 9 months or less for you to give birth not 12 months.

It looks like the suspect has either a contact from the inside since she has a good background of the patient's history and name that is why the mom just trusted her baby to be taken away since the suspect knows what to she has done. I also heard police is investigating if this was a personal crime since they have known that the woman is single and not married and it could be the father of the baby that initiated this crime. But this angle has not been proven to date. I have low hopes that this would ever be resolved since there are no CCTV that was able to take the incident and the guard even do not have any records of anything they saw at the time of the event. No nurses, doctors were able to tell anything at all at the incidents. If those other victims that were caught on CCTV is still unresolved to this day I would not expect this unless a miracle would happen.

Hello Rsa101, the suspect waited for the right where that area in the hospital was empty and took the child. I don't know, no penalty would make the person feel better unless the child is found. they should have add for more security instead, because no pregnant mom would ever trust that lying clinic again.have a nice day.

That was terrible for the mom in the Philippines and I feel ever so sorry for her. A normal pregnancy lasts for 40 weeks which is 9 months. In hospitals in my home country babies have a band on their leg which says their parents name, the date of birth and their hospital number. It can only be removed by the hospital. The rooms where the babies are kept are locked. Pregnant ladies can't choose who their doctor or midwife is. I have had a home birth each time.
• Philippines
10 Sep 12
Hello Maximax, They can't do that at home because they don't know any midwife in the neighborhood. there's no way thy can trust that hospital all over again. I feel bad for the mom, i just hope the syndicate didn't get far note. it's never going to be easy finding them or the suspect, sure hope they would.

I would be heartbroken for sure... I don't think I would feel angry against the hospital because the only thing I would concern would be looking for my child! We hear news sometimes about babies and children being stolen, it is sad... I try my very very best always keeping an eye on my kids, I would not able to take this risk and I'm sure all moms feel the same!

Hello mermaidivy, Well, she is looking for the child and blaming the hospital at the same time. unfortunately, there wasn't any CCTV camera. i hope in the distant future, the mom and baby grow up to see this mom of hers. i think there's a lot of babies being sold for adoption scam and that's not very good

I gotta say, the poise that the woman had achieved when she was interviewed by the media is quite a feat for someone who just lost their kid. I salute her for that. The hospital is right to just let the woman go but not the part where the woman is still liable to their services. I mean, why would she pay a hospital where her baby was just carried off?
• Davao, Philippines
8 Sep 12
Yeah, I agree. She may only pay once the baby is returned to her safe and sound and in one piece. Lord only knows how many people would buy different body parts in black markets these days...
• Philippines
8 Sep 12
Hello SinfulRose, they are still liable for such lack of security. she didn't deserve to loose a child like that. well, I don't think it's fair for her to pay for something she LOST! maybe she will pay for it little by little once the baby is returned to her

It's all in the news and was really saddened about what happened. I know how hard it is for the mom for I am a mom too. I can't imagine why some people are really heartless to do such thing. How could they gain such courage to stole a child who knows nothing at all and to hurt a mother who is still in pain. The world is ruthless and truly the morality of it's dwellers has turned out so badly.
• Philippines
10 Sep 12
Hello Shello, Some are really heartless not to mention they are obviously the reason why it's hard to trust other people out there. yeah morality has really gone down because of poverty and it made us so distrustful to the world on whom we should trust. be careful out there with strangers.

is this true to life story you heard from a news? well if it is, really sad to be in a mom's shoe. but you know, mothers do have a child in their tummy in just 9 months, right? If I am in such situation, i would really be mad at those people in the hospital, why did they do such thing. all of them might be a suspect for such kidnapping and they have no right to do that to anyone either. well, unless they have to do that for the sake of other's life as well. even so, we have to do things the right way.
• Philippines
10 Sep 12
Hello Annavi23, Am a guy so i may have forgotten about that when i was in a rush typing this discussion. who wouldn't be mad, am sure she'll get really concerned with how the child is doing. i just found in the recent news that the maid was also behind the kidnapping because it was properly coordinated.

sounds like an inside job huh? well, it doesn't happen inside the house but then the one who has access in the house, which is the maid, had this modus operandi that they really have to do such kidnapping. any updates if the maid had been caught together with her other members?

hi LK, It's only 9 months This is not the first case it happened already in some hospital way back before it just alarming that authority can't solve it. happy mylotting

Hello Bhabycatch013, oh yeah am sorry it's only nine months, I must have been in the hurry doing this thing. Yes, this was not the first time, but with out a CCTV i doubt this case would ever be solved immediately because not every one recognized the person's face. Have a Nice day.

I saw it in the news, it's been circulated in all media. The incident is really a sad thing. I think, the hospital administration needs to upgrade their system for safety and security. I feel bad for that mom.
• Philippines
8 Sep 12
HelloShavkat, yes they should upgrade it or it will cause them to loose future patients to their hospital.they should suspent or remove theit license for lack of security. I know they have replace their security agency, but the child is gone already, they should help each other for looking for the suspect.

in big cities in North America, you have no control over your baby after it is born, it goes into the nursery with all the other babies and they give you your baby when it is time to feed him or her.
• Philippines
10 Sep 12
Hello winterose, I think it's the same here because it needs to be in the nursery when ever babies are born. Hope and think that some one needs to guard those babies to keep them from being linen up or stolen by some one else. this is a shocking to a mom like her, still am sure she's asking herself why her baby was stolen.

aw that is sad.. but then i also saw in the news that it might be some plot as the woman who gave birth went thru ceasarian and cannot pay as their hospital bill was that high..
• Philippines
8 Sep 12
Hello Jazel_juan, Maybe they thought the kidnapping was orchestrated. it's hard to believe it that some one would get pregnant, have her child kidnap just to avoid the bills? that's a lot of integrity to give up to. but the cops shouldn't side with the hospital accusing her of doing such because she's a mom who gave birth after alll
@namiya (1713)

that incident is really unacceptable for mothers like me. You would risk even your own life for your child and then here is someone who for greed of money and total lack of conscience would simply took one's child that way. it is not only depriving the child of a mother's care and love but tantamount to killing the mother too.
• Philippines
8 Sep 12
Hello Namiya, There are scumbags out there that's for sure, but the blame is on the hospital for lacking security. she didn't deserve this, i know she feels it some how. I hope the cops would find the child and the suspect behind it. but what sad now is that the artist sketch of the suspect didn't even match her own description.

Taking a baby inside your belly is just 9 months because 12 months is 1 year already. The lesson learned here for all the couples out there especially who are about to give birth just make sure that they should know who will be their doctor assigned to them and make sure they are licensed. Though I think the one who kidnapped was a licensed doctor. Another idea that it came to my mind although I don't really know if this will be a good idea for some cases, make sure you have companion especially husband who will guide you in hospital and that person should never leave the newly gave birth mother. If he needs something else then there should be another companion. Because in other sense in case that there will be a doctor who will ask for the baby to get it first because they want to check on something then at least someone will follow the doctor to see if they are really reliable to do something for the baby. As much as possible if they can ask for the doctor's id for some security reason.
• Philippines
10 Sep 12
Hello metatronik, There should be a companion there indeed. if this person was a doctor, then she definitely will loose her license and never practice her profession. well, every one will be guarding some one from now most specially if they are giving birth to some one. but still the hospital is more liable here for their lack of security.

Hi, I think she could file damage suit against the hospital for losing the baby. However, one angle the police is looking at is the possibility of having the baby spirited away by an accomplice to avoid the payment in the hospital. The hospital should be careful with this, being on the brink of losing their operating license. The management should take extra effort to track down the baby and see the real issue or else they would suffer the double threat of damages and losing their license.
• Philippines
7 Sep 12
Hello Rog0322, Yes a huge damage suit at that. there's no way that people like that would go that far being expose by the press and the authorities just to avoid getting PAID? that is so low, if that's true the mom would eventually go to jail for such trouble. but i doubt that what really happened. have a nice day.
7 Sep 12
How Sad??? I really can feel the pain the mother is having toward her lost newly born child. God will punish them soon to those bad people who did it. I know the money they got from if ever they sell the child will not get them rich. Warning to all hospitals public and private and security guards they should keep watch on these so that no more incident will happened like this in the future. I hope the baby will be recovered soon by authorities and be back to her family.

8 Sep 12
Hello Chuchaibugoy, Hardly unlikely but it would be a miracle if they do because the person is really smart to pull something off. this will happen likely in the future if the person is really desperate to do something like that. there's two cases of this already and the problem would never end.
