What do you think,should the juvenile detention center be in our neighborhood

Recently i read an article about putting detention centers for juveniles in the neighborhood, so that they are closer to their parents, some of these parents dont have transportation. They are trying to turn an recently closed elememtary school into a juvenile detention center

Well this is indeed a great idea that needs to be implemented in order to see some drastic changes in our society that has almost lost its moral values and ethos. It is important for the juveniles to realize how important parents are in their life till their last breathe.

Your right, but a lot of the parents don't have cars or transportation to even see their kids because its far in like the woods. (They do this to keep them from trying to escape), but gas is sky-rocketing and the economy is not doing so good itself, people cannot afford to visit there kids while the are in those juvenile detention centers, I think it would be a wonderful idea to put them closer to home. I also feel their parents and other family members will visit also.
