Macaulay Culkin, a child star that turned to sorry state

I loved watching Home Alone movies especially the earlier versions. The child star in the Home Alone 1 and 2 was Macaulay Culkin. He was so cute and has a very sweet face. I am sure that if he takes better care of himself and his family, especially his parents give their full support to him, morally and spiritually, not just 'milking' him for money, he will not turn out so bad today. Poor Macaulay Culkin. I wonder what went wrong. Maybe children should not be exposed to early fame. Macaulay indeed became famous after he starred in that movie. But I heard later his parents fought and then got divorced. The cause of divorce is rumoured to be the 'tug-of-war' between Macaulay's parents to have control over his money earned from movies, advertisements etc etc. He's older now and in my opinion still looks sweet and handsome, only some of his recent pictures really show he's in some sort of big trouble. He is suspected of taking heroin and rumoured to be dying because of his uncontrollable heroin addiction. It really seems that fame and money have destroyed him. Also I think family break-ups must have affected him tremendously. What do you think mylotters. It is better maybe to be just an ordinary person. Not famous, not rich but still be able to live happily.

He was such a cute kid, I enjoyed a lot of his movies like "Home Alone", "Uncle Buck" and "The Good Son". To be honest, I haven't heard anything about him for atleast 10 years so I'm sad to hear that he seems to be troubled at this point, I'm sure he could've kept up with acting if he wanted to.

I read somewhere that he become unemployed as an actor because of his cute, innocent and sweet face. It's like they say his face cannot fit in any of the 'rough' character. I've never seen him acting as an older person. Maybe it's true. Hollywood is just full of prejudices!

I can't fault him, he is finding his way in this world. It's not easy when people see you as this cute toy, and inside you are really an intelligent individual with many talents. It's frustrating when that happens in our menial jobs, imagine if your job is an actor, and you are not allowed to develop because your development does not guarantee ticket sales? I feel for him, he seems a good guy. I wish the best for him.

Fame and fortune can do strange things to some people and then again has no affect on others. It is a shame that they can destroy themselves when they have it all. It is heartbreaking to see anyone, stars or not put them through such self devastation.
