So I hope you all don't think I'm being greedy here, but I work as a call centre representative and I feel like there should be an internal option for a customer to tip the representative they speak with if they desire. I can't tell you how many mistakes I fix that other representatives make, I will get chewed out at the start of the call but when I actually help them the customers are beyond greatful. Perhaps it would make the company look bad providing a "tip" option, as we are all expected to provide exceptional customer service no matter what, but still it'd be nice! How do you feel about it? Have you ever been in an outstanding situation where you wish that you could do something nice for the representative that you talked to? Thanks for commenting.

You are from canada. Tipping the representatives who visit the house and fix the errors -- that itself normally we do not give. Then you can imagine how the call centre employee can be tipped.
I am happy you are able to succeed. The credit goes to you and also the customer who understands you properly. Imagine you are right but if the customer cannot understand then the error may not be fixed.
anyhow congrats for your good work. I have neutral views on this issue. this again depends on the happiness of the customer. sometimes customers are happy and can give.

I've actually had a couple of customers mention wanting to tip but I wasn't sure if they were joking or not. I guess you have to think of the companies reputation as well, it might look bad if we accept tips when everyone is expected to give outstanding service no matter what the situation is.
