Planning to change a job...revenge for something wrong done to you.

Most of the people who have a job or who had a job had to change job for different reasons. I also had to do so at some point of time. But for my case was little different as I wanted to change the job as my bosses had failed to do justice to my talent and they were exploiting me by paying me less salary. Because of some reasons I was not able to change my job and they knew it and so they were exploiting me. Once I decided to change the job, I started looking for some company which would give me some time, wait for me to join them for few months. When I found the same, I started much harder than what I used to do before. I became lot more pro-active. I started taking up lot of responsibilities and did great things for my company for about three months and then suddenly I offered my resignation. They were surprised but they had no alternative but to accept it. When I was discharged from that company, the company could not find my replacement. They had to ask one senior manager to take my charge and he also found it very difficult to perform in my place. I was happy to see all these things not because I wanted them to suffer, but because I wanted to make them realize my worth. Had you had same sort of experience in life...please share here.

At one point we have the same reason for quitting a job. I also wanted people to see my worth. It's not that I want them to have a hard time but I want them to know that what I'm doing is not easy. So I resigned and looked for a new job back then. After around three months, my previous boss called me and asking me if I want to go back to our company and he will give me a raise. During that time, I'm already loving my new job and I'm contented with what I'm getting so I declined the offer. And for now, here I am, working from home. Better than the two jobs that I have before. =)

If you have left your previous job just out of frustration of not being paid enough and being exploited by the bosses, it is a great feeling of satisfaction when you are called again and offered the job once again by the same bosses. It means that they have realized your worth, your working has compelled them to offere job again. That remaind me of a famous saying that " People realize the worth of a person in his absence only". Yours was a typical example proving this saying to be perfectly true. Thanks for your response friend...! Have a nice time...!

Yes, it's really a good feeling on my part. Though it may be too late but at least they've come to realize my worth. See you around friend. God bless. =)

I have also been in that same situation. I was working more than the number of hours that was stated on my contract and the responsibilities they gave me was also more than what we have agreed upon. The added responsibilities were a challenge that I took coz having taken Dentistry in College and being a manager for a pharmacy as my background is way far from being part of a Company that offers Web Development. What irked me was while I was doing all these for them, they did not give me a raise for it. There wasn't even an over time pay offered. What was worse was after several months, my pay was getting delayed until such time that I got sick and asked them if I could just have a rest for a week or so. When I came back, they told me that they are having a hard time making ends meet and even asked me if I was willing to elp them out without any pay. My bosses, a couple, were nice people but I couldn't slave myself in fron of my laptop for 40 hours a week without being compensated, right?

My boss take advantage to the extreme when he knows that I cannot find another job easily, which I know I can find a better one, so he started to disrespect me using vulgar words and pushes me to the deadlines until when I came back home , I still feel my nerve wracking, I eventually resigned and he hired new person to do the work, I feel I am brave enough to resign and start anew.

It is always advisable not to just keep following the bad bosses. If the boss is a bad person, you have to do something. If you are in a position to set him or her right by staying in the same company then it is the best solution but if not possible that way, it is better to resign and find suitable job elsewhere. I think that you were brave enough to start afresh. Sometimes we do not think that we are capable enough to do something better than what we generally do. Because of this reason only we do not try new things, try for new job. However, time and experience teach us most of the tricks. Thanks for sharing your experience here. Have a nice time...!

maybe.. It was sick when our company didn`t treat us well.. they only want to use our energy, body, mind, but they never appreciate us with a good salary or maybe the confortable situation.. We are worker but it doesn`t mean we are their slave.. Many company and boss think that worker and slave is same..What a pity for the company like that..

Well friend, in most of the companies the situation is the same. It is true especially in the middle level companies. It is so because of the system which is set up in the companies is only work oriented. They just want the result and they feel that just by paying you some amount, they have bought you. However, they have bought our time for the salary. It is entirely wrong to think that the worker and slave is same...!

Sorry but I can't help to say your behaviour is childish. Perhaps at the moment they did not find someone else to replace you. Which is not true since a senior has way more experience as you have. Also: you are a fool if you think you can NOT be replaced. Everybody can be replaced sooner or later.

Well friend, thanks for the complements...! I may be childish but I am sensible enough not to hurt others by calling a person a fool. Just go through my post and you will find that I never said that I am a person who cannot be replaced. I know very well that nobody in this world is indespensible. But my point was that they could not find my replacement at the same salary and as I was doing extra work, they needed someone more experienced to take care of my work. I was happy to see that my work was being appreciated by them. Even today also people in that company show high regards for me as I was a sincer worker of the company. Thanks for your response.

I haven't experienced that but of course I don't want that thing to happen to me because it could be complicated to transfer much in work. But then it is a big laugh for them of letting go someone that is worth like you.
