I am a frustrated chess player. I know the basic maneuver, but I can not nail the King. The moment you set your mind to play, a tremendous effort had started. The feeling of not giving up the King or Queen against the enemy, the course of action is to move on forward, backward, side ward, etc. It is so difficult to lift the chess pieces, especially if your pawn will be captured. If you move it, the other pawn will be eaten by your opponent. How about if the chess pieces are in human-size? This will be more difficult to mobilize, isn't it? We were in Lancaster Estate in Cavite, Philippines with the broker, the broker talked about the Lot Area, Floor Area and soon on. While walking around, I saw this particular park and I was amazed how big the chess pieces on the cemented board: pawn, knight, bishop, rook, queen and king. I remember the Harry Potter where his friends play the game. The height-size of the pieces was like a kid ages 2-3 years old. You can see how big the space it occupies.

I don't even know how to play chess, but I do see that there are a lot of places throughout the world where there is a chess board with life sized pieces. I think that it is very interesting that there are life sized chess boards. You know, I would think that it would be a lot harder to play the game if you are not able to see where all of the pieces are from above. But, I do imagine that there are a lot of people that really enjoy this.

Lancaster? Does it happen to be Profriends? I have a house in Laguna and I can swing by Cavite but because of the traffic I choce not to. I didn't know I am missing this cool park. Anyway, I am also a frustrated chess player. But imagine my delight when I defeated my husband in chess just once! He's really really good in chess. And even if I can't defeat him again, there's always this one time.
