Jeans are for me the best type of clothing ... if only I could always wear them!

I simply love jeans. I always did and still do. If only I could I would wear them whenever I go out. I love the skinny kind. The problem is that when I grow older (you know after age 45-50) I do not imagine myself wearing jeans as I would look a bit awkward maybe.

No way! I am 56 and still live in jeans! Why do I want to be old and "proper" lol? I have stayed a size 6 or 8 all these years, and can still wear Levis and Lee jeans and look fine. Of course, I much prefer shorts - and yes, I wear denim short shorts even at my age. I figure as long as your figure doesn't get out of whack, you can wear what you'd like, no matter what your age. My only problem with some things younger women wear is because of the two C-sections I had when my kids were born, it's difficult to get rid of that little bit of c-section belly. So I won't wear a bikini. Outside of that - anything goes.

I guess I will do just like you when I reach that age. After all we can do what we feel like and I will certainly try to retain my size. With jeans I feel confident, comfortable and still quite 'formal' as long as they are of a good quality and have a good cut. I place importance on that.

Today, jeans are so acceptable anywhere. Except, perhaps, at a formal White House dinner...lol. Yes, I think as long as you are in shape, you can continue wearing what you want to wear and look fine. Even if you don't, as long as YOU are comfortable, that's all that matters.

Not sure what you mean by skinny kind but we are older than your age group mentioned and wear jeans a lot. They look fine and are very comfortable. People are more relaxed when wearing jeans than they are dress or suit pants.

Yes after all it is always best to choose clothes you like and feel comfortable in. Skinny means that they are not baggy. Baggy ones look a bit shabby. Skinny jeans make you look casual but formal at teh same time. They make you look slender if you choose the right cut.

Okay, I get your meaning. I have always referred to them as straight leg jeans. Those are the ones I prefer too. Don't care for that baggy look either and the boot leg types seem to be a lot looser not just at the bottom but in the whole leg too. They do give one the appearance of a more neat and sleek look. And if they are not faded or washed out in color they can be dressed up with a nice shirt, belt and shoes to give one a more formal casual look to them.

Oh don't think like that. I love my jeans and will always wear them. Why you think you would look silly in jeans in your 50's is beyond me. I'm 58 and still look great in jeans. My mother loved her jeans also and she wore them in her 70's. So wear your jeans and enjoy them. go jeans!

I love jeans too. The way I see it, jeans has become time resisting apparel. It's not only youngsters who can wear them to look good. Even when one gets older, jeans is still a good option. Though I won't suggest someone old to wear skinny jeans though. But the common ones which is not skinny and not baggy will do. So don't feel hesitated to wear jeans when you aged in the future.

I see a lot of people in that age group wearing jeans. I don't see why you would look weird in them. The truth is that jeans have become the standard form of trousers for everyone nowadays. I myself own too many pairs, although I'm only 21 I can see myself in my 40s and wearing jeans.

It's my favorite too. I feel so comfortable wearing jeans. They never go out of season. You can match it with boyish shirts or girly blouses. It also matches with sneakers, sandals, wedges or even slippers depending on the cut of the jeans. I love the skinny type too. From the name itself, it makes me look skinny. I hope it will never go out of trend.

I love wearing my jeans, and I have several pairs that I can wear without a problem. My Gran is 72 and she still wears her jeans, so I don't really think that you should be worrying about what age you are. The thing is that you should just wear things that suit you, and if you're finding that the skinny jeans don't suit you anymore than of course that is absolutely fine but then you could always find another style that would suit you just as much as the skinny ones would have done in the past. I have different styles for different moods, and I honestly don't see that there is anything wrong with that at all as long as you're both comfortable and happy about what you're wearing.

I went through a period in my life where I would not wear jeans because I just didn't think that they were comfortable. However, right now I have to agree with you that jeans are one of my favorite types of clothing, if I am lucky enough to be able to find a pair of jeans that fit me right. I have to say that I don't agree with you about not being able to wear them when you are a little bit older, I see plenty of older people that are wearing jeans and they look just fine on them and I think this will be the case for me as I get older.

There is nothing wrong in wearing jeans besides in my country this is the most weared type of clothes. Even the ladies and women most of the time , they wear jeans. It is the most comfortable type of clothes most especially during rainy days because when women are wearing a skirt, it is too hassle for them. Everybody can wear a jeans even kids.
