Ants...Living A Life Unparalleled Excellence

ANTS...perhaps the smallest observable species on earth. Yet it is a wonder how they are too clever and intelligent beyond our expectations. Ants do have an excellent societal make-up...an upbringing based on their own established notions and conventions. Have we ever observed their behavior? Ants gather in groups and march forward in perfect formation with food that they secure from an identified source. The discipline and the unanimity kept are to be copied by bigger creatures viz. the humans. They are quite ingenious in getting over difficulties too. It is all instincts and perhaps a form of communication devised and practised all by themselves. Ants... they really are wondrous living beings.

Once I was standing near an anthill out in the country and some friends came up and we started talking. I forgot all about the ants until I felt something biting my ankle. I looked down and there was a ring of ants crawling around and around my ankle like a bracelet with many strands.

Ants are miraculous. They even got into my microwave and into my freezer. I'm tempted to thaw them out and see if they come back to life. Just kidding, Suk...but the freezer??? Rubber molding and all. Well, today I bought some chalk. I've got boundaries and as wonderful as ants are, I don't want to share my home with them.

Ants communicate by smell, they leave trails with their feet for others to follow. Each ant is born for a job and only one job, they have no identy problems, because all is forcast at their birth. Many insects live the same way, this may be why they have been so successful at long existance.

Ants can be pretty neat. They are pretty intelligent but I wonder how because it doesn't seem like they have a brain! I think God must have just "hardwired" them with their instincts so well that they're going on automatic. There are some things we might learn from them upon observation but maybe not?

Hi sukumar, There is so much that we do not understand about ants and other small living creatures but I think they are facinating! I have observed ants on many occasions and I think it has to be more than just instinct. Here is a link to a rather humormous poem about ants and also a ficticious story. We are not the only people who have noticed this. Blessings. http://authspot.com/poetry/the-anthill/ http://authspot.com/short-stories/ant-sense/
