Help, mylotters, I'm having writer's block. I can answer/comment if there's something to talk about. I get an idea of a discussion and some of my friends have already started a discussion similar to what I want to start. So was just wondering how or where do you get your inspiration on a discussion.

Hello ma'am. I sometimes encounter writer's block too especially on Mondays. I usually go over my interests and look at them one by one. By looking at them carefully, something will just pop in my mind out of nowhere. LOL. I hope that will work on you, too. Happy mylotting.

Oh, right you are angelkarah, I look into my interests and a discussion catches my eye and I'm discussing! lol That discussion makes me think of another interest and it's just a circle.

Hi stout! I usually got ideas for my discussion from my everyday experience. Sometimes from the current events and the experience of others within my environment. Although there are times that I cannot formulate new discussions due to lack of idea or time maybe but I can still participate in the discussion by responding to others discussions.

I'm at that point today, where if a discussion is already started then I'll put my "2 cents worth in."

Thanks antiquelady! Yeah, I've been busy and an idea pops into my head and not near a computer! Darn the luck, lol.

I don't start discussions that much but I enjoy responding and commenting on a lot of interesting topics here in Mylot. And yes, there's lots of them. For me, I find it easier to do so, only when I'm not that busy with work and I am not stressed at all during that day. I have to admit that I don't visit Mylot as often as others do, and there were times when I felt like there's just nothing to share, but once you get what keeps you motivated, then you'll get back on track. Don't be too hard on yourself. As for starting discussions, I usually get my inspiration from things that happen during the day or something that I might have read and would seem like a good discussion to start with.

Greetings STOUTjodee. Awhile ago, I just experienced to post a discussion that is similar to those that posted by others. As far as I am concerned, I want to post a different and an all new discussion. This is also one of the reasons why I am having writer's block like you. Being a newbie at mylot, I was not privilege to view much of the discussions presented. On the other hand, If I will start reading them from the beginning that would eat most of my time. So what inspires me to start on a discussion, I would say instinct and/or flashes of ideas coming into my mind.

Well, a lot of the times that I spend here starting a new discussion is usually based on past experiences or things going on in my life around me at this time. Sometimes they are spawned by something someone else might have talked about or shared in their discussions as well. Since more of my time usually is spent responding back in discussions others have started here as well as taking time to respond back and eventually resolve my other discussions I have started, sometimes starting a new discussion might be few and far between.

Mine are usually about everyday life. Something I think might be interesting to others. Sometimes when I think of one I write it down for a later time..and make a list. I don't start alot of discussions though as I don't have alot of time during the day. I work full time and do crafts to sell.
