i bought a silver ring few years ago. i put this in my middle finger because it fitted there perfectly. many would asked who gave this ring to me and what is this for? i well just said, no, this ring means nothing for i just bought it for myself because i like it and that no one gave this to me. so keep on wearing it for i guess for six years already aside from thus time that i went abroad and work there for eight months for i removed it and kept in in a box to hide for awhile.
but few weeks ago, my middle finger was swollen and did felt the pain from time to time. i cannot be able to remove the ring because of its size which getting bigger. see the picture attached to it, there you can observe that a ring or a circle being formed into my finger because it was being moulded by the ring itself during it swelling period. i do not know why happened like that. maybe some nerves were being pressed that was why the blood cannot circulate. it was painful like that really. i tried to calm myself because there would be times that i was afraid what would happened to my hands if it keeps on swelling like that. but i tried to relax my mind.
what i did was that, i massaged it with liniments and tried to press the nerves and muscles in my arm and even at my back with a hope it will cure it. i suffered for one week i guess. i really pressed the protrude nerves and would even feel the pain. i also stretched it to align the nerves carefully because i believed that it was being clogged with gasses. would you believe that i burped (excuse me for this if you find it nasty) as i did this? oh yeah, i really do.
it worked you know. little by little, the swollen part subsided a bit. so slowly i removed the ring even not totally healed yet. having a hard time pulling it out in my middle finger. i bear the pain just to get it until removed it totally. i massaged it again and the swell gone. for now, i did not wear the ring. having a phobia of that haha

Hello,
Where is the attached ring....? Anyway I imagining what is the situation because I have experience little bit same which I have a ring in the ring finger but bit small but can be manage to put, the problem is if I wanted to remove same as you. I applied oil first and it works if not oil sometimes using soap any kinds to make my skin slippery. Sometimes ifour ring not remove for a long time it will form a ring worm like with color white specially if you are always hands wet. so if you did not use oil or soap next time try to do it....

hmpt! what happened ;D. i wasn't able to attached picture of it, gosh, sorry for this aww! good for you that it oil and any other lubricants worked to remove the rings in your finger. but mine was really a scary one and if i do not have any choice to do, i will saw the ring to break and to remove it because putting slippery liquids as tried lots of them did not work at all. the swell was really so great and if i forcefully pull it off, surely i will just create wounds in the middle of my finger or yet pull my fingers too :D
just leave if for few days, huh! i felt the sore through it. there would be nights that i was crying because of the pain and of nervousness, scared that i cannot remove it and will cut my middle finger. gee, so glad my massaged worked on it that is why the swelling subsides. did not wear the ring now. i am scared that my fingers will swell again...
thanks - but hmm... i did not upload the picture of the swollen finger and ring better luck next time :)

No problem.. as I said imagine what the situation is... Yes it is awfull and be careful to put some medicine might be caused to you infection. I suggest to remove it immediately as you said used saw for removing. I remember my father his wedding ring was stock up also in his ring finger for long time and will cause of like putting a knots in our body which tighten very strong, so the action did was to cut it using saw - ring was made of gold....

umpt, if not sawing it, what would be the other remedy to remove the ring being stacked in your father's finger? like mine, but glad that never had it sawed because able to remove as my swollen parts shrank a bit. uhmm, put herbal around with my finger and wipe with some liniments. did not intake commercial medicine for that.
ah huh... have a great time there :)

Hello missjahn. I had some trouble with my middle finger over 20 years ago. My son was coming home from Germany with a woman he was interested in marrying. I was painting a bedroom when that finger got to hurting. I thought it must be the way I was holding the paint brush. That kept hurting for several days when the pain traveled down to my knee. I finely went to the Dr and that was the beginning of the end. It turned out to be Rheumatoid Arthritis. So I suggest you get it checked so you can get the arthritis under control before it can damage your joints. It starts small then gets worse.

hello deedomb... nice meeting you here...
thanks for the suggestion but my swollen finger is okay now. i am just afraid to wear my ring again on it because of what had happened. i just massaged it and put some liniments on it. i believed that my veins was being clogged and have gastric on it because it happened as i finished doing my laundry.
but good decision you had in there... it could be scary of the idea that some parts would be cut because of our negligence. so as early as possible cure it.
thanks :)

A couple years ago, I bit the inside of my lower lip & didn't clean it right & developed a cyst there---had to have an oral surgeon cut it out. Now I'm afraid every time I have a sore or a cut on the inside of my mouth (which happens from time-to-time since my mouth is kinda crazy
)

missjahn
perhaps you bought a smaller ring and it did not match your finger. or may be you were allergic to its content.
in India normally ring is worn in the fourth finger adjacent to small finger.

hello sir ravi :)
uhmpt, i bought the ring 6 years ago. the reason i put it in the middle of my finger in the right hand is because, that is the most appropriate size of the ring. it so happened that it swollen and get swollen more because it blocked the blood to flow in its nerves. and cannot remove it neither because my fingers is getting bigger in size too. i just forgot to upload a picture out of it to show this finger and ring to you and to anybody... thanks thanks thanks
