Why do you myLot? Are you stay at home mother?

I am a stay at home mother currently. I am trying to be a work at home mother but I can't seem to pull away from my children enough to call myself that often. Unless worked a lot online than I consider myself a stay at home mother. I myLot to talk with thers that have things in common with me. I was hoping to find other stay at home mothers or work at home mothers to dig their secrets out. I consider myLotting work since we do get compensated even if it is pennies.
Why do you myLot?

Hello, friend! We practically have the same reasons for being at mylot. i have been a stay at home mom since 2007. then in 2010 i had an online job which i really enjoyed coz it gave mr more time to be with my family buy also lets me earn at the same time. i wasn't really into the internet that time but because of my online job, i got exposed to a lot of techy things. have found mylot in 2010 but wasn't that active coz of work. i just became active again last August 26 and i am loving it here each day.

Hi! How are you today? I can understand why we are friends more and more :) I just started about a month or so ago and want to go on more and more. I hope to start more discussions because I was afraid for a while because I was phrasing my questions wrong and getting them rejected and deleted. :( I hope that I can get the hang ofit now as I'm jumping back in instead of just commenting or pictures like I was. I want to be here all day, a page is always open to myLOt! I just have my two year old who needs me more now. We are hoping for a younger sibling for her soon since she gets bored so easily like me. i am a college student so i do mylot to earn money so that i can increase my pocket money. also i have lot of free time so i also dont get bored.

hi tangleddreams I my lot to keep from b eing lonely and to do somthing good with my time as I was retired 5 years ago and felt
useless, used up and tossed out like a wo rn out old show.80\years
old then and forced to retire,. no more paychecks ev ery two weeks, no more feeling that i was contributing to the work force just a 300 dollar gift and told goodb ye have a n ew life blah blahs we will keep in touch,.sure yeah in a pigs eye,'so after a little of nothing to d o I did find m ylot and now on my fifth year here., now I make earnings and pa y for my m o nthy cable internet bill.I am a retired partly p hysically disabled senior female citizen who loves to my lot and keep in touch w ith all my friends too here.

I'm sorry you have had to feel that way. I can empathize after being in the workplace and "earning my keep" so to speak. And now I have been sitting on my butt doing nothing but being a mother. I decided to get over myself and be the best mother I could be. When I felt I was satisfied in my mommy skills and achieved most of that, I started myLotting in my extra time. Have you been able to take classes anywhere. I enjoy making jewelry and learning other crafts at our local library and community centers. My nine year old and myself love gaining knwledge and wisdom from the ladies that have been doing it their whole lives and could teach us valuable things with our hands and conversations. I myLot on my phone when I'm out sometime :)

I work on MyLot for a few minutes or maximum an hour a day only. I consider this as a past time activity and whenever I don't have something with my real work so that's when I drop by to myLot. However, I considered mylotting as a rewarding thing though I'm not earning much from it.

I know what you mean. I have only made five dollars. I wish I could get on more even if not to make money. I am on myLot more than any other paying or non-paying site because I enjoy it so much. Happy myLotting!

I work online all day as I assign work to my team of writers. It is quite a tedious job as I have to reply to emails and messages for most of the day. So mylot is a great way to 'entertain' myself as I sort of relax a bit. I enjoy discussing with mylotters on various subjects that interest me. Besides I earn some money too in the process.

I enjoy writing. That was my A subject through to college. I hope someone will se my blog and start paying me for writing. I would love to be a freelance writer but I don't know where to start. My dream job after my children would be to be an offline video editor.

I have been a stay at home wife for nine months now and I mylot to pass some free time after I'm done with chores, errands and some house stuff (real property deal). We could all use the extra money of course, plus I feel like hanging out here more and reading discussions than going on Facebook and reading those statuses which makes you wonder if people still have brains oooppss!

Haha ! I would never have gone on facebook if I knew about myLOt. It is only to store my pictures do I go to facebook. I like actual conversations. The statuses are bizarre! I enjoy talking with people around the world too!

I mylot to enagage in conversation and earn. I am usually using my spare time to keep from being idle. There really are good things that come from mylotting. Learning from other cultures, practicing writing, and finding people to relate to. The earnings are a result of being a very involved mylotter. You really have to put a lot of time and effort in to actually earn. If you have the time, why not mylot? But, I would suspect that if you become employed, your mylotting will be less due to the devotion you may want to give as an employee.

Yes, I am a stay home mother and mylot is my one of my part time earning site.
I can say that mylot helps me a lot to pay some of my bills and gives me extra earning while using the net and taking care of my kids.

I mylot to earn a little spending money. My husband and I both work outside the home, to pay our bills. But nothing is ever left over. I use the money I earn online to buy myself a book occasionally, or craft supplies, or a book of stamps, or whatever "want" I have at the time.

When I first started mylotting a couple years ago, I would say that I was doing it because of the money that I was making. However, I wasn't a member on here for very long before I realized that mylot was actually fulfilling a much different need that I had in my life. For me, the thing that keeps me coming back to mylot each and every day is the fact that I'm able to have contact with other adults while my husband is at work and I'm at home with either the children or by myself while the kids are at school.

Hi! Not a mom but just wanna share. I'm just new here at myLot. My sister is the one who introduced me here. At first, I find it boring. But upon reading so many discussions, I realized that it's one way to share and learn from people around the globe. And it's a joy seeing people appreciate your opinions.
Honestly, I haven't earned yet here but I'm excited to see all your testimonies. I hope I could learn more and earn more :)

Hi tangleddreams84, I stay at home as a full time house wife because were still waiting for the baby, i used to work but my husband asked i can stay here for a while to relax and enjoy my life. I do mylot to earn extra money and to get connected my friends here through participating in every discussion. Mylot help me to ease my boredom and i can practice my English and typing skills.

That is kind of your husband. I have been a stay at home mom for about three years on and off. I have boredom too and need adult conversation. MyLot helps with that and I'm not bored or feel like I can only conversate with a two year old !:)

in the beginning I was like you at home with two kids and as always you need money.
EI why I write here is now working but whenever I have time I write here and earn extra money.
