Login with Facebook

I have seen a trend of sites using "login with Facebook" as their login page. This could be a downfall. What if Facebook one day no longer exists? We don't want to think of it but it is very possible. If Facebook was no longer there it would mess up these sites.

I think if Facebook no longer exist they would give us another alternative . I have seen those kinda site but I would not mix my Facebook account with any other site because my Facebook is personal .

If Facebook does not exist anymore. All those who have "login with Facebook" as their login page will receive error message as they try to login. All they would do is just type another website in their browser and after that everything will be okay. mylot went through some problem I think almost more than a month or two. My homepage was set at myLot so I was kind of shocked when I logged in because all I got was error message. I thought my internet was disconnected but when I tried surfing other sites I found out that it was only myLot which was inaccessible. What I then did is to just put back my homepage to yahoo till myLot went back to normal. So we can do the same if Facebook if it encounters problem in the near future.

I don't have a facebook anymore, and I'm kind of annoyed when I find sites that want you to log in with facebook. If there are no other options, then I just abandon the site. I never feel like I'm missing out on too much when I do, usually these sites wind up a waste of time anyway. But I'm kind of abnormal, I look forward to the day when facebook meets its bitter end!

Usually other earning site has this option. That is, to share the link in facebook, but it doesn't mean that without facebook you cannot log in to that particular site anymore.
