I wonder if the terrorists wanted this? The only difference I have noticed here about 8 miles from D.C. is that there are far more Muslim Americans! Before 2001, it was rare to see a woman with her head covered and now I see at least one a day! And they are all different hues! I remember going back to work after Sept 11th and wanting to be friendly to any Muslim woman I saw and having a hard time finding any, lol! But now? They are everywhere and I love it! Other than this nice surprise, my life is about the same as before. I can't believe it has been 11 years. I know Everyone will remember where they were that Tuesday morning. How has your life changed since September 11th?

9/11, I remember that day very well, like it was yesterday. It was a horrible experience to be in the city that day. I was at work and from the top floor window I saw both planes and both towers fall to the ground. It was way too surreal for me. And it still bothers me to this day. I cannot watch the news and see that again. I don't even want to think about it. I know that not all muslim people were at fault, just the radical ones who believe in terrorism. I have no problem with the arabs at all. But there is a Mosc down the block from my house where they were hiding out the sheik. We had the FBI all over the place. So that place was harboring terrorists. But it is a day that I would like to forget but can never forget.

A lot of things have changed in my live since then. I was 12 years old when it happened. So you can see there has been a lot of life changing things and 3 of them you have been apart of me. I moved from Colorado to Virginia when was 16 years old, graduated from high school, did 2 years of college, then got married to my hubby which you already about that one. Of course my two lovely babies after that. So for me that was a lot of changes in my life. Some where really big chances and others were just small. Now of course I'm getting ready to move again.

Hi behen (I am not from US or even near it, so my response is from an outsiders view only. Please dont take it otherwise) I remember that day and those telecasts on the Television. I spend the whole morning at the local restaurant where I used to eat daily as parents were away and I was all alone here in this town. I was feeling quite sad and shocked at such an act being committed and so many innocents murdered for no fault of theirs and many more families who would be in pain for years to come. I also followed up the events and it was real sad that the act of a few morons (actually terrorists) got their entire community and also many others on the wrong notes. There was a scare and hate for the muslims and many followed suite. In the years to come, I found two muslims (as friends and even today we are in communication). They made me feel that they are normal people and have the same heart and feelings of pain that I have. I wish that we could come out with some better ways and thoughts for people who get unnecessarily blamed for someone else's acts. And yes, I was all alone that day in this town and even today, I am all alone. Of course, I am married and have a wonderful loving wife and also a loving behen(that is for how my life has changed since that day)

And I have a loving Bhai. Like today m Sept11th was a Tuesday. Back then it was a day off. My mom was alive and she let me sleep through it. When I woke she told me about it and we watched the t.v. all day and night. I really thought that the world was going to end. But here we are. I have my Bhai and my Behen.some Muslim friends. It is wonderful.

My life has greatly improved since 9/11. I have had a difficult and challenging life. Eleven years ago, my life was bleak and terribly difficult. I am now a senior citizen who receives social security and still is able to hold a p.t. job. I live in senior housing and have a nice apartment. I have a computer and have begun to do some traveling. My basic needs are all met and I have disposable income for luxuries. This improvement has nothing to do with the terrorists attack of 9/11. My life would have improved anyway. But thinking back, I am reminded about where I have been and how much better I am now. And I am grateful. Happy New Year.

In Britain I received an email that stated some states in America are run by Muslims. You may know the truth to this.

No, I don't know of any. There are more Muslim Americans and they are visible but they are not a majority in any state.... yet.

I believe America is still being targeted by the terrorists otherwise there would not be strict security measures for all modes of transportation, airport terminals, bus terminals, train stations and even important buildings. I am not against or have anything against the Muslims but I just hope that these acts of terrorism will come to an end. Border conflicts should be resolved diplomatically and that fatal acts like 9/11 should never be repeated. It is really tragic because many innocent lives were lost and widowers, widows and even orphans were made on that day.

I honestly do not think my life has really changed. I was far from any of the attacks, but watched everything that day. I do think I make more of a point to tell people I love them because I never know if it will be the last time I see them. And I agree that everyone will remember where they were and what they were doing, I know I always will.
