Do you use any contraceptives or family planning methods?

I've been married for more than eight years and we still have one son until now. I got a miscarriage four years ago. Right now, my husband and I meet only on weekends. We are not using any contraceptives or family planning methods. I sometimes tell him that I am already infertile or impotent. I guess the right time will come. However, I'm already afraid of having another baby. LOL. How about you fellow mylotters, are you using any contraceptives or family planning methods? Feel free to share your thoughts. Happy mylotting.

I have an IUD, or intrauterine device, as my means of birth control. I had tried the Pill, but couldn't deal with the hormones (I have a Paraguard IUD, so I I'm not affected by the hormones). Are you and your husband TRYING to have another child? Perhaps you should talk to your gynocologist too-it could be an infertility issue. My parents sought out infertility treatments because they weren't becoming pregnant; once started, they had me and my sister within 2 years. Why are you afraid to have another child?

I was blessed-once I was induced, I fell asleep for quite some time. My labor was about 7 hours before it picked up, 1 hour of slowly intensifying (waiting to see if I dilated enough) and a 1/2 hour or so of prepping me for an emergency c-section. The first day was the hardest, but they taught me ways to carefully get up so I wouldn't hurt myself further. I don't really remember the pain though-finally meeting that adorable little person I brought into the world washed it all away. I'm so sorry that you had such a bad experience-most women don't remember the pain. Our bodies are supposed to make us "forget" how back it was.

Oh, my mon used IUD before. I got scared of using it because somebody told me that one woman was using IUD but she still got pregnant. LOL. For now, we are not still ready to have another child. I'm scared because it's hard and risky to give birth. LOL. As long as possible, I don't want to feel those pains I experienced 8 years ago. LOL. It's inevitable I guess if I'll still have another baby I will still undergo those pains. Thank you for commenting and happy mylotting.

Oh yes, you are right. If we really don't want to get pregnant, we have to use two birth control methods. I don't like to give birth in c-section. Having labor is already painful. How about having c-section and the pain after having the operation?

When I have wife we used contraceptives to prevent another child. Because we agreed to have only one son and daughter. Since then we always used contraceptives till we are separated with no reason... I think you need to have another child. Because it's not good of having one child only. Much better have two or three kids. But if your husband, for him not having another child. I think it's okay unless both of you agreed...

I agree with you. The couple should decide about the number of their children. I guess for now, one is enough. Money is quite difficult to earn. Thanks for sharing. Happy mylotting.

Saving for their future is one of our obligations. It causes us so much worries. I hope all of us can provide a good future to our children.

Yup! I agree with you, friend. These days, making money is hard enough. We need to save for the future of our children...

That is considered to be an acceptable form of birth control by the Catholic church. They don't feel that members should use man-made birth control.

Hi Airashiela, I think that's a family planning method. I guess it's not advisable to women who have irregular menstruations. I guess after your period is okay but not before your period. I guess it's risky.

Goodluck to you and your husband. I hope you'll have a baby soon. Yes, you don't have to use any if that's the case. Prepare yourself for your pregnancy. Drink milk now and eat nutritious food. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.
