I needed to send a postal mail this morning. But it has been a long time already since I have used any postal mail. I forgot where I used place the sender's info and recipient info on the envelope. I have to ask another person on the post office. As I don't want to commit a mistake. As in up usually send a email. But my auntie does not use a computer so I had send him a xerox on a postal mail instead.

Addressing an envelope varies somewhat from country to country. In general, it is usual to start with the name of the addressee; the next line has the house number/apartment number and street name; the next, the urban area or village (if applicable); the next, the town or city and finally the postal code or zip code on a separate line.
You should start writing the address about half way down the envelope and with a reasonable left hand margin (usually about 2cm or an inch). This leaves space at the top right for the stamp and any franking marks.
Some people write their own address (the sender's address) at the top left of the envelope, others write it on the back flap. This helps the recipient know who the letter is from and where to send a reply but it is mainly there in case the letter is undelivered and the post office needs to return it.

Oh me too have not used postal mail in a long time and I think I have forgotten it too. In this email world, hardly postal mail is used now. But i also have to send some pictures to my parents who cannot open emails. So I have to see if I still know or have to seek help in it. Buying the stamp and all. lol. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Hi,
Now a days postal mail is considered as a snail mail. it takes more time to reach to the receiver. Now people are using email or phones or sms for communicating with each other. but writing a letter is a different and nice feeling. We used to send letters by post many years before. I have the experience of sending mail by post.
