These are our priorities?

Today is September 11th. Happy Patriot's day to my fellow Americans.
Now I want to talk about something that disturbed me this morning.
New York City and the White House had a moment of silence at 8:46 am to remember the first plane that hit the WTC. Most networks covered this and offered the moment of silence.
NBC did not. One moment to remember the event that rocked this country 11 years ago. It seems there was no time for this as they were interviewing Kris Jenner from Keeping up with the Kardashians. Now, first let me say, I am not bashing the program, I have never watched it. I have enough reality in my life I don't need to watch somebody else s. What bothers me is that NBC found the program to be more important than all of the Americans that lost their lives. That they are housed in the same city but chose to discuss a reality show and somebody breast implants.
Is this where America has come? Is this the best we can do?
What the hell has happened to people?
I am not a constant viewer of NBC, so me not watching them won't hurt. But to any of you that watch the "Today" show on a regular basis, how do you feel about this?

I totally agree with you! I think its a disgrace that they would not pay tribute by honoring the moment of silence. It is in bad taste that NBC decided not to pay tribute but instead talk to a person like Kris Jenner. I also don't watch that channel to much at all but now I may stop all together. You ask what has happened to people and I will tell you. People are looking for fame and fortune so they can have all the material stuff that they want. They are not living a real life they are living a fake life. If that was me on a talk show scheduled for today I would have said sorry I can't be interviewed on a day like 9/11. We will have to schedule for another day. However, a person like her only cares about the money she can make and the fame.

I watch the today show on a regular basis and I was disappointed and shocked that they did not have a minute of silence. We should never forget that terrible day.

Of late, I have to say that NBC has been in out of sorts with the Americans. I thought they would have come out from their controversy with the telecast rights of London Olympics and now this.
I don't think Americans are being insensitive or have forgotten about the tragic event 9/11. NBC does not represent the majority of the loyal and patriotic American. They are just a television network that views commercialism to be more important than the memorial Patriot's Day.
