Everybody has his or her own point of view. One will act according one's own understanding about the given matter. And this understanding will depend a lot on a person's own point of view. We know that when we look at the things from different point of views they look quite different than what they looked from our own point of view. So do you try to look at the things from somebody else's point of view?

I try to look at things from somebody else's point of view. It is best to understand both sides of a story to get to the heart of the matter. People try to do this in a court of law, in disputes, and as a way to help develop empathy. People who go a little further before developing opinions and understanding are more open to the possibilities of what the truth can be when seeing someone else's point of view.

I think that you have rightly stated that the people who are ready to look at the things from other sides also are always open to the ideas and suggestions of the others. If we can understand the point of view of other people we will have many doubts resolved instantly. In many matters, we may start thinking that our impression about the person was wrong and we will start respecting the person. Many things will look like changed things in this case and that will make our life more enjoyable and less sorrowful. Thanks for sharing your views here. Have a nice time...!

Yeah, because we are not created perfect, but we are created unique. From that concept, there are things which we need others' point of view to fully understand it. Or shall we say, two heads are better than one. If am not sure of what am doing, or am not sure about my understanding or assumption, I always try to look how others' perceive it, and it always helped me. It's about seeking their opinion and advices. At the same manner, we are created unique! So, you cannot just set aside others' point of view, if you are wise enough - you need to pay extra time to consider those! Happy mylotting!

I agree with you that we are created unique and so each unique person may have a unique point of view. If we are not perfect, we need to learn many things from others. It is not necessary that when we look at the things from somebody else's point of view, we forget about our own point of view. We just try to understand how the people think about different things. It is still in our hands if we want to accept other's point of view. Ofcourse we have to give some time for all these things. Nice to read your views here. Happy MyLotting.

As much as possible I want to respect it because we are all different. Sometimes I am learning from them. But there are times that I can give advise whenever I don't agree with their own opinion though I would never forget that I should respect it.

Yes, if you have enough knowledge on some subject, you can decide to give advise too. However, I would like to add here that the elders also should consider your opinion and they also should learn to look at the things from younger people's point of view. If you are giving them due respect, it is very good thing. In case of your not liking their ideas, there is no need to have any confrontation with them. Thanks for your response. Have a nice time...!

There is nothing wrong by acting by your own point of view. Also ... for many people it's impossible to invest/see why other people think different. You need an open mind for that, be educated as well, have a lot of self esteem and not been raised with an over ruling religion or political ideas. I always try to find out why people think or act the way they do but it doesn't mean I always agree with it, find it reasonable or understandable. Since what I found out by years of experiences is that I am one of the less people who try to understand (same with my kids) and other people seldom do the same. They force up their ideas seldom based on anything more as what they heard from saying (by.....)

You gave a good idea about the person who is open minded. If a person is educated nicely, not been raised with an over ruling idea... then only the person can become open minded. I think that you are right in this matter. I think that the ability to see the things from somebody else's point of view is a sign of cultured mind. Only problem with such people is that many times they do not have time to do this. They are in lot of hurry and so many times even highly cultured people do not look from somebody's point of view to understand the things properly. Nice to have your views here. Have a nice day...!

Sometimes we get too blinded by seeing things with our emotions and feelings that we can't see another side of someone else's version. I think we should consider someone else's point of view so that we aren't biased. After listening to someone else's view point, it will either make us see things differently or just make our way of thinking better. I often have discussions on different social networks and not every one will agree with me. I will listen to what they have to say, so that I can have a better understanding of other people's opinions. I'm open minded to different opinions, but not tolerant of people who don't see other's opinions. I'm not saying that I will change my side of a discussion just because someone has a different view, but I will keep an open mind.

Yes many times we become so much emotional that we fail to see the other side of the matter. Many people have habit just to be biased towards some people. If we start discussing with others and if we are broad minded to accept others' point of view, we will be able to know the things with a lot of ease. It is your virtue if you look at the things from somebody elses' point of view. If someone has different point of view, then we should welcome the ideas. It will increase our knowledge and will help us to develop as a better human. Thanks for your response... Have a nice day!

I always do, or try to at the very least. Because this is the only way which I can fully understand them. I am aware that I do not know everything, and I have to turn to someone else for information and first hand experiences. And whenever I find it difficult to get their side or point of view, I try to picture myself in their shoes. It works most of the time. It also helps me to avoid feeling bad or resentful of someone. Like, if I put myself in someone else's situation, instead of feeling bad about that person, I begin to sympathize and look at her in a different light.

I think that you are doing right thing by accepting that you do not know everything. In fact nobody can say that he knows everything. Each one of us need to learn something from others. However the ego of a person prevents from his looking at the things from somebody else's point of view. If we do look the things from other person's point of view, we can understand the things well. You are doing right thing to put yourself in the place of other person and try to understand the things from their view point. Nice to read your views here friend...! Have a nice time...!

Yes, we have to. Sometimes we are wrong because we are only considering our own point of views but if we'll consider theirs, yeah, they have their points. We can learn from other's point of views. Sometimes, we are a bit narrow-minded. LOL. We have to listen especially to elders or our parents, even to our teachers or seniors. Considering their point of views will give us more understanding or wisdom. Happy mylotting.

You are right friend... if we listen to our teachers, parents and seniors we can learn to look at the things from their point of view and through we can get good amount of knowledge and wisdom. These people are experienced people and so they tell us from their experience why something is good or bad. If we try to understand their point of view, we can have a great treasure of knowledge. We should be broad minded instead of being narrow minded and this is possible only if we learn to look at the things from somebody else's point of view. Thanks for sharing your views here. Happy MyLotting...!

When certain things/decisions has been made, and many wonders why? Of course at the first thought, I will think why from my point of view and tends to feel it is not right. However, when I put myself in the other person's shoes - his/her point of view, I realized why the decision is appropriate and I understand the situation better.

Yes many times we feel that some decisions or actions are really not proper because we see the decisions or actions from our own point of view. Here it is important to see the things from somebody else's point of view so that we can realize why particular decision or action was taken. Many times we get annoyed when we come to know about particular actions of people and we do not care to look at the situation in which they have taken that action. It is something which we do not really feel necessary most of the times and so we do not try to look at the things from somebody else's point of view. In your case, you have a virtue of doing this thing and I feel that it will help you a lot in your life to become happier person. Thanks for sharing your views here. Have a nice time...!

Yes, just like an apple if put in the center of a table has different angles and sides based on what part of the table your are looking at it. Personally, I would consider other people's opinion on matters that requires it. This way. I can relate to other people's situations and thereby I can act in a way accordingly.

So you are selective in looking at the things from other people's point of view. You will not look at the things every time or most of the time from point of view of other people. I feel like agreeing with you to some extent. You have to be choosy in this matter. You cannot afford to do it every time because you do not feel it important. Only some important things should be looked at and routine things should be left alone. Nice to read your views here. Have a nice time friend...!
