So, if you can't just claim and defend it , they will buy it? very smart.
unfortunately, it seems china sees Japan as playing with fire here. oh, well that's what they think. i believe in my own view that Japan tries to avoid conflicts by purchasing it out but it seem china
I don't think we can buy those islands out since spratleys and Scarborough are too valuable because of oil and natural resources.
Sad to know am living in this country where a neighbor is becoming a bully everyday

i also would not agree with the sale of the islands. the best that we can do i guess is to fight for it but of course with the help of our allied countries.

Hello Neildc, I don't know about the so called purchase because they seemed to me like they are making the chinese think that they do owned the islands and wants the japanese to buy them. i hope this won't escalate, it's such a shame if it does.

Hello LetranKnight25,I appriciate your opinion. As a chinese,we never admit the purchase ,it's not the voice of goverment, but our people's appeal.I am very thankful for your disagree about the sale.

Hello rsa101, Them sending those ships to re-asserts their claim on the islands proves that they don't want Japan to own it even though they prefer to buy it themselves. China has ignored much about everything what the UN says. maybe they should be removed from the security council, no superpower would want to bully countries that are developing

If you want to win it, buy it. I agree that this is more ‘cleaner’ way of doing things in terms of territories. I just hope that the sale itself will not be disputed after or else, the supposed original owner will have to cough up. You have two wealthy countries and we have no idea if the Chinese will use the same money to retaliate. At least, the issue over the ownership is already established. It is really sad and also for the reason that we cannot use this method. It could have been but we have a big and wealthy bully over the seas. I just hope we have enough allies.
