My officemate and I were discussing the process of salary every Christmas Season. If our company has 13th month pay then my officemate told me that there is no 13th month pay in our company but there is what you called a Love Pay which is Chinese Tradition and that is different from 13th month pay though it is almost the same. I asked her what is the process of that but then she has no idea about it. So I am wondering now of what would be the process of this Love Pay for December? Anyone can share this kind of idea?

i do not know about this, i have never heard about any love pay though.. i guess it is just a variation of what we all know as 13th month pay... like for us here in the Philippines, 13th month pay is guaranteed by the company, whereas bonus is not guaranteed and is only to be given to the employees according to the discretion of the company, their earnings and so on. I guess it is just about the company's willingness to share their profits, etc.
