Hah, Accidentally I become the Official Photographer :p

Last night we had an event here in our local organization.
Originally I was posted as one of the usherette (which I like the most-hehehe)
But, for whatever reason -EMERGENCY reason, our Official Photographer is not available.
The problem is, the SLR OWNER is very meticulous and doesn't want other people to hold or operate the camera.
The owner also is not available to replace our official photographer because he has an appointment that time.
So, I don't have any choice but to take order (no- not for food chain crew- ahaha)
The owner only authorize me to use the SLR!
So, I become the Official Photographer of that event 
Goodness, I am not a Professional Photographer- BUT I need to become one

Hi Jai,
The child photos are nice and I think you already snapped like a professional photographer. The picture is perfect and not in out of focus also. Good and you can carry on with your follow ups for the professional excellence now!
Here is a photo of my son (below) which I took from the hotel few months ago, when we gone for a picnic.

Its good if your SLR owner showed faith in you that not only you will be able to hold the camera with care but also do good photography.if you love something you automaticaly improves in it bcoz without interest nothing could be achieved.your posted shots are really nice.go on and keep practicing.keep faith in yourself you will be a good photographer one day.........good luck.

I love photography, so much.

Congratulations. It sounds like you might have just had your break. It's very good news to hear that you were able to become the professional photographer. You were presented with a chance and you took it. I only hope that I too may get chances like that in my professional life, although I am not a photographer. I hope you were able to perform well, because if so and someone saw that you did well this accident might be able to get you taken on as a professional photographer in the future again. I'm sure it was very good experience for you and will help you in the future.

hi jaiho I think you did a professional looking job in spite of
not being a professional photographer.So you got to use the
SLR so they have faith that you will do a great job and you
really did too.shows your love of photography indeed and skill

i do not mind doing that actually as i love taking pictures myself! lol..
usually i do not like being an usherette..so being the photographer would be a lot more pleasing for me

You don't have to be a professional photographer to take nice pictures. You just have to have a camera and practice using it as often as possible. It is also helpful to read a little something about photography and how to take better pictures.

that's exactly what i also do not want to be the official photographer of an event, even when you are actually part of the celebration, you won't have photos with the event.

It seems that everything went well and you did great job.
Usually during family gatherings I used to be the photographer so I always out of the pictures lol. But since camera do have timer and multi shots now, I could always join them to complete the family pictures.

Go ahead and buy an SLR, you're gonna love it. I wanted to learn that too but I don't have that cam

hey jaiho,
I once encountered the same situation but i had dslr:), it felt amaxing but the best was everybody loves my picture and my coolege offers me a seat in media even though i am a student of medical:D, funny isn't it, nobody was ready to believe a medical student could actually get good photos.
